Thank you
GTO. I am always inspired by your choice of cars and I too remember your ownership thread of your white beauty!

Wishing you many happy years and miles of ownership. The car may get less convenient for the elders with time, but you can always get them another more suitable car. This one can be with you for a long time. After all, it's a Honda. A Civic. |
Thank you
Condor. The dealer definitely stood out among the numerous dealers out there just like my civic did amidst other used civic examples.
Definitely, I'll look for a +1 car when civic gets a bit cumbersome for the elders at home. However, I would like to keep her for a very long time.

Check out the Roger suspension buffers on Amazon
They should help with the low GC and consequently ingress and egress. |
Thank you Iyencar... I'll definitely take a look at the suggestion of the suspension buffers. I'll PM you with the price.

Even after so many years, the design is such a head turner. I walk a lot, so everytime I look at a well maintained Civic, I can't resist looking back.
I would love to own a pre-worshipped Civic, unfortunately my family does not agree with my thought process. Hope to see a lot more of this beautiful car through your updates. |
Thank you very much. If you have the money go in for one. The 1.8 NA is an absolute beauty and the car is extremely reliable. The upkeep shouldn't cost you much as well.

Thanks man!... The dealership person definitely gave a buying experience to cherish for a long long time. The first owner indeed is a great man with a great taste and love for what he rides!

Thank you very much. I miss a touch screen too and was eyeing various available options. I'll definitely consider this when making the swap. I'll share the price in PM.

Not too many references of the same config around. |
Go up to 6 lacs and move fast. These beauties do not stay for long. But please follow all the steps mentioned in the pre - used buying guide mentioned in the post. Don't mind paying a couple of ten thousands more if you are sure the money is going to the previous owner, just as an appreciation for good maintenance, if the car is well maintained. I am sure to have paid close to 40K more than the market value but, I was sure on the dealer commission and how much was going to the previous owner.

Thanks man. I am in love with the car and every kilometer I put on the odo gives me a lot of fun which cannot be expressed in words!
The world needs people like us to appreciate the timeless beauty and the world definitely needs more Civics! Yours look great too!

Great to know Sir. Civic is a timeless beauty. In addition to the engine, In my opinion, the new civic doesn't feel to be a substantial upgrade to the old Civic. You need a better car to fill in the shoes of your Civic. I would love to know what you will eventually replace the beauty with.

Thank you very much Rajeevraj. The car indeed is wonderful and now is the time the beauties of '12 and '13 are getting into the used market. Keep the look out on and I wish with all my heart for you to find a great example.

The Cruze is a great car. I missed buying
Bhpian Kini's Cruze by a few months when he sold her. I had just bought the Punto and didn't have the money to take the plunge back in 2015. I have driven it for miles and the Turbo whoosh is very addictive. I always felt the
"Got BHP?" sticker suits Cruze the best this side of 20 lacs.

I too was tempted, and finally bought a Civic in October 2017 from a close family friend. There are a lot of things to love, the smooth engine, and great seats, the looks (!). Sadly for me, I never got comfortable with the car. I like feeling planted at high speed and coming from a line of Germans/Europeans, the lightness of the body and the (comparatively) fluttery ride was something I couldn't live with.
Now, every time I see a clean Civic (like yours!), I feel very silly for not being able to enjoy it.
Wish you many happy miles! |
Thank you. Very true and I wouldn't have gone in for the purchase if not for such detailed record.
I had similar issues with the Jazz and though it being a wonderful car, I couldn't live with it.
