I absolutely love with what you've done to your car. Unfortunately my wife wants me to maintain my 530d stock bone...so i am left with no other option but to drool at your mods.

Keep up the good work and hope you don't upgrade to G30 too soon. I still cannot digest it's front. And rear from far off still fools me with present 3 series!

Yes i am in talks with tuners who will be doing it via OBD port only, Makes the whole remapping process much easier and risk free i suppose when compared to benchtune.

Its actually not, But even if it would have been i would have gone for a remap, It can be "looked into" if someone with interest is specifically "looking for it" + the cost of some tuning boxes is x 2 or even x 2.5 the cost of a remap. I have a couple of nice SA at my end to handle my car too.

Upgrading from a 6 cylinder will surely be a pain when the time comes, I won't mostly settle for a G30 530d again, Something a segment above would do the trick maybe. I agree G30 is not one of the nicest designs BMW made, I'd still prefer how an F10 looks over G30.

Look what visited the place where i got the ceramic coating done on my 530!







Ill be getting the 6 month maintenance on my car done in a couple of weeks time, Its just a couple of hours process, Its been around 5 and a half month since i got the ceramic done on my car & i have to say, I am impressed! Hydrophobic effect is still the same, Cleaning the car is a breeze! & even my dad mentioned a couple of days back to how the car shines & the gloss effect is simply brilliant, Looks the best under sun light.

Forgot to mention, Spotted a Sweet looking silver Jetta with a front lip a spoiler & a Got BHP? Sticker at the rear only to realise it belongs to your brother! I was waiting at the signal while your brother took a right at BKC couple of days back.

On the side note : Time is flying! I'll be completing 1 year with the 530d in 10 days from today!

Completed 1 Year / 20,000 KMS

What a journey it has been! Just did not realise that i would be completing 1 year with the car just 10 days before, Time is flying! The car was sent for servicing and exactly on its 1 year birthday she was delivered at my place from the service centre with a bill of 81,000 Inr & she was driving as good as it gets!

It was the major servicing near 40k kms, Meant all the filters had to be changed, I got the balancing alignment done as well, Rear pads still had life of about 3000 kms shown, Still i got them replaced, There was some vibrations while starting the car & overall vibrations had increased too, Culprit was the engine mounts, Decided to changed them as well.



How much did the brake pads lasted?
Front Brake Pads lasted me : 32000 KMS
Rear Brake Pads Lasted me : 38000 kms (Idrive showed 3000kms more to go)

I am happy with their performance & life from the OE pads, They are progressive just how i like it according to my driving style, However i think ill need to change them to some performance pads..Why you ask?

Remapped 330HP / 680 NM
Got the stage 2 remap from Quantum Tuning UK (GT Tunerz) & the car was remapped in 23 minutes flat by just connecting the laptop directly to the OBD port.

We had opted for the Stage 2 Map, Stage 1 gets 310 bhp 650 NM, Hence a downpipe would be a good thing to add in the car with a stage 2 tune, I knew Wagnertuning has Bolt on downpipe for the 530d and we went ahead with that.

The Quality is simply top notch!

Just wanted to let you guys know that yes the car has been mapped! However ill post the driving experience in a few days, I want to experience it more in different conditions & in different driving modes.

As of now all i can say is, The car now is simply a RIOT!!

Congrats . Very good decision to get remap from Quantum UK. I have heard that their maps for BMW are just brilliant. They were also the first one in the country to introduce remap by OBD port for BMW Fxx series. Did you get to V box the car? I believe it should be within 5 seconds .

I am actually surprised how well the car plays different roles together now specially post remap & downpipe, Will mention everything in a more detailed way soon.

Could have bought 4 New Tyres for the car, But decided to get the remap & downpipe & burn the current one off completely before doing so.

Indeed, I really think Quantum UK is the best in the business for the bimmer's & the extra topping is the remapping via OBD port, I mean the car added 70 HP and 120 NM of power in just 23 minutes!

Did you get to V box the car? I believe it should be within 5 seconds .

Not yet, I am on comfort oriented touring tyres, Will do it post a shoe change, But as far as my research goes, Yes the car will do a 0-100 kph sprint in the 4.7 to 5.0 seconds range with the launch control & performance rubber.

This is a diesel monster for drag racing. I am sure you will win. If you are interested, please take part in Valley run . I have not come across any other sub 5 seconds diesel car.
