Thanks Prodigy07. The first pic in your link shows the car with black alloys, I am trying for a similar look, but a much lighter shade. Something like the dark grey on the Optra Magnum or the First gen Octavia, that is the colour I am targeting. Yet to get a response from DRIV3R, but mostly will be done along with him, when he gets the alloy painting done for his Punto 90.

The fiesta with gun metal gray alloys does look good but your car can easily pull off a white-ish-silver-ish finish on its rims (don't know the designated term :P) and when spotlessly cleaned, these attract a lot of attention while at the same time giving the car a fresh look

Re: The last Samurai - Ford Fiesta 1.6S

Congrats Aravind on the fantastic car. It should have been fantastic to drive solo for 500kms when you first took it for registration. It should have been so refreshing to enjoy everything about the car with no company.

IMHO the existing color of wheels, suits the blue perfectly and the pic in your handle affirms it.

Any ways, do you work in the Ford plant in MM Nagar or at the Perungudi office. One of my cousins is working at the latter place.

I think that is called 'hyper-silver' don't know if both of us are talking about the same finish here, though!

It indeed was fantastic, those amazing memories are still fresh with me. And looks like there are more votes for the stock look than for the proposal I have put forth here. Let me try my luck with photoshop to convince a few BHP-ians now

I work at the manufacturing plant at MM Nagar.

No infact I believe i'm talking about the stock finish like a few other people too :P
Though I wouldn't mind seeing those rims in 16 inch form

Though both these are (were) in a very similar market space, they carved a very different niche's for each other. Its no secret that my heart is completely with the 'S' by now, but how close is the match between these two giants? Does the City have lot more to it, than a powerful 118 horses spewing engine and a solid brand backing it?

Stay focussed, and watch this space to find out more...

WOW!!! Fiesta S in the year 2013. Great pics by the way. Epic battle of ANHC vrs Fiesta S is never going to end it seems. Let's see who your winner is? Try not to be biased and see how both cars fare on your spec sheet. By the way I am a proud owner of the 2011 Ford Fiesta Classic 1.6 SXi.

You could look around and pick up a well preserved pre-worshipped piece.
It is certainly one of those 'feelings' that you will regret not experiencing when you could actually have.
You can guess from my monicker as to what I drive and experience everyday. Get your 'rush' too soon.

Thankfully; Fiat heard me and launched the T Jet and I bought one. I did buy something which according to me is equally (Or better. Can't say) a good drivers car.

There is a painter named Balakrishnan in mettupalayam road. His garage Near Ganga hospital. He does good paint job. I have done paint touch ups from there. He will be able to paint your alloys. If you want his number, please PM me.
What brand are your window tints. How much you paid for it? Visibility percentage?

Re: The last Samurai - Ford Fiesta 1.6S

DId you eventually get around to painting your alloys? By the way is it wise to sell a Fiesta S which is in pristine condition, with a sporty roar and true S characteristics just because one does not have the time to drive it ?
A 4 yrs old car with only 35 k km on it is barely run in (in modern car terms) is garaged and used only sparingly on the weekends.
It feels such a tragedy that a fine car that it is , is not being exploited for its ability.

Re: The last Samurai - Ford Fiesta 1.6S

Excellent car to own! I do have the same 1.6S aquablue with me and I am owning it since 2009 Oct, pristine condition with original fittings and its great to drive this machine. I do want to have the roof sticker shiny black if you are able to do it at a right price in Chennai please do let me know.
Mine is garaged for a last 1 month or so as I have to go out of India on a official visit so hopefully if you could find a right person please let me know so that I can also have it done by Diwali

Hi. This is one of the best reviews I have come across. The passion for cars is easily evident in your reviews. I hadn't heard of Fiesta S, though I had heard how good a car Fiesta is to drive(my interest in cars began about 2 or 3 yrs ago when my dad finally allowed me to drive our car alone!). Your photos are excellent... Kudos to you and your camera! I was thinking of having one of your pics as my computer wallpaper with your kind permission of course.

Re: The last Samurai - Ford Fiesta 1.6S

My humble apologies to everyone for not giving this thread the attention it deserves. Nothing much has been happening with car off late, except for a very subjective stickering I had done.

I understand that the stickers are a personal opinion and can split opinions, feel free to give your critic comments / opinions, I would welcome them too.

I haven't yet painted my alloys, as I haven't come across a paint booth in Chennai, which does it with the kind of quality I expect.
It is not wise to sell a car that your heart loves, and one that is not troubling you either (Pristine condition right? ) But ultimately it does boil down to your preferences and requirements.

I inquired in a few shops, but no one gives a glossy black roof with a 'it-wont-spoil-your-paint' guarantee, But they stand by matte Black vinyls, something I am not too fond of.

Thanks a lot Anand89. Both the mechophile and the photographer in me are humbled by your appreciation. And on an other note, your post has kindled the fire in me to keep this thread alive and updated! Thank you!
Why would I not permit you? I would be honoured if someone has my car as a wallpaper! Feel free to PM me, incase you need high resolution pics, I shall send them to you.

Re: The last Samurai - Ford Fiesta 1.6S

Well, if its your car and your moolah, i dont think a bit of personalization is bad. But the problem starts if people feel the customization goes over the top and then, the entire ownership thread might get posted on our tbhp's W&W mod thread .

I am looking forward to the gunmetal paint on your ride's shoes. I have a feeling they will give your car an understated look and turns some heads when you power through corners.
