An oil pump can always fail without any warning. Bearings cant get loose overnight.
I still see the bottom engine perfectly fit after all the abuse given.
The injector played dirty here, failing all of a sudden.
Have u got the injectors?
Yes, I got the injectors and colder plugs, posted a pic in my previous post, no point in installing it now with the oil pressure issues.

The engine ran for a max of 3-4 minutes once the fuel dump started, can it cause such damage in such a short span of time?

Hey Bhuvan. Just found time to go through your thread.

Were the issues sorted out?

Hey, thanks for your concern. Since I could not do much more at home, I put the car on a flatbed and took it to a friend's place, where the car is getting fixed, and will be up and running in a month or two, albeit with a few significant differences.

Meanwhile, I have bought myself a new Figo Titanium Plus TDCi, to keep me happy and occupied.

Forward facing intake ports and engine tilted backwards. Is that a K series engine???

Hello all.
Newbie here. Read this thread from the start and have been awe at the time, effort and dedication given to the build and can't help but notice that the last post is of 2016 where the engine had oil pressure issues. Would really like to know what happened after that.
(It's like a real good series having an abrupt ending because it had to be pulled off air) .

I happen to have 2006 1.8 AT and have been looking around as to whether I should keep it stock or fiddle with it.

Let's just say there was a reboot of the series. You can find the second season here
