This is what I found out about Fortuner refresh.
  • 2.5L 4x2 MT & AT in addition to existing 3.0L variants
  • 3.0L 4x4 AT
  • Launch later (end of) this month
  • Black interiors
  • Dark Grey Alloys
  • Navigation with voice control
  • New colour, Bronze Mica Metallic

Hi

There is another surprise in this launch.

While 2.5L has been launched in 4X2 Manual and Automatic, it comes only with TRD Sportivo option and hence both of them are priced higher than respective 3.0L versions.

This is probably to exhaust the existing Inventory of 3.0L 4X2 Auto and Manuals.

From Toyota Website, prices for Delhi. The prices are up by whooping 2.02 lakhs, so guys who bought in December would be really happy.

4x4 Manual(3.0L)- 25,58,929

4x2 Manual(3.0L)- 24,26,700

4x2 Automatic(3.0L)- 25,26,700

4x4 Automatic(3.0L)- 26,58,929

4x2 Manual (TRD Sportivo)(2.5L)- 24,44,200

4x2 Automatic (TRD Sportivo)(2.5L)- 25,44,200

Cruise Control is not available in 2.5L Automatic
Black Interior only available in 3.0L variants
HID with washer only available in 3.0L variants
Manual leveling in Headlamp available in 4X4 variants

Prices are insanely high due to year end hikes and also the roll back of the excise sop that the auto sector enjoyed until 31st Dec.

The Fortuner has a new paint shade added - the same color that was on the limited edition Innova

This is the revised price list in Bangalore for Fortuner, looks like the increase is slightly more than 2 lakhs

With a less than 10% between the lowest and highest models I expect 4*4 AT to get the bulk of the bookings. No model below 30L in Bangalore!! This is certainly a steep hike. I got my fortuner in 2013 Jan for 25L on road and innova in 2005 for 8.5L. Toyota is milking its cash cows to the fullest.

Does someone have the pic of the new color alloys and the smoked headlamps that are coming witht he new forty?

Hi

Just an update on new models/facelifts of Fortuner based on visit to showroom last Saturday.

This will help perspective buyers as the Online Toyota Fortuner Brochure always had some mistake and the legacy continued.

As per the online brochure, only 3.0L 4X4 Models have Navigation system, dark alloys, chrome fog lamp and smoked lamp. No sir, all the 3.0L models have all of them. I saw them on 4X2 MT model.
Just that the 3.0L 4X4 AT gets additional dark leather seats, while others gets beige seat.

The beige seat on 3.0L 4X2 MT looked horribly out of place with rest of interior (Dashboard/Door) in dark black.

Also the online brochure still continue to show Brake Assist (BA) availability on 4X4 Models but the hard copy of brochure (2011 Models) mentioned BA across the Models and its true.

Sorry the New Fortuner Brochure was out of stock, otherwise I would have included it here.

Can you please confirm if the 4x4MT still gets the beige seats?

Hi

I did not see any 4X4 Models neither did the showroom had printed brochures. But the Toyota website says its black interiors/seat for 4X4 MT as well as AT.

all 4X2 MT/AT (3.0L or 2.5L) models gets Sand Beige Interiors as per website, however in reality I saw 3.0L 4X2 MT with black interiors except the seat, which was in beige.

That's a relief. I am eyeing the 4x4MT and would hate beige seats. Thank you!

First of all thank you team bhp for accepting my membership and letting me be a part of this growing community of motor heads! Now this being my first post, I may make some mistakes regarding posting rules etc so mods please do the needful so that it goes to the right place on the community.

I face a peculiar problem with my two year old Toyota Fortuner Automatic's company fitted music system. Its been giving me trouble since the last six months or so and repeated visits to the dealer didn't work out. Now, the problem is that as soon as I plug in any usb (I read all posts on the net about such issues and have only been using 4gb usb's with no folders) the whole system hangs and starts rebooting again and again and when I remove the same, voila! magic ! it starts working fine. I took "brutus" as I call him to the service centre and twice they took my unit and sent it for changing the complete assembly but still the moment id drive away from the workshop the same problem would reoccur.

Finally, I narrowed it down to the usb reader jack itself and asked them to change it. The workshop did send a technician who inspite of my vehicle being under warranty put in another used jack and asked me to try it out. Sure enough, it all worked fine for a month or so and then agains a few days back, the same problem.

Can any of you share any useful info on this? Has anyone had similar issues with their unit?

Never experienced this in my Fortuner. Hopefully, as under warranty, this faulty part should have been replaced with the accessories. I suggest write an email to TOYOTA grievance, They are well known for a prompt response. Also, do keep us posted in the outcome.
