Just our of curiosity, what are the consequences of getting a tube fitted in it?
here you go.

Re: My Tyrian Wine beauty! The Manza Elan

An update:

The car just returned after servicing. I will update the prices and the job list later, in the meanwhile, here are some pictures.

The Wheel cannot be repaired and a new wheel has to be bought. It has been ordered already and by this weekend, the new wheel will be installed.

The car had a nice 3M polish and it is shining like its brand new!

Nice picture DeKay!
Well, the car does really shine now!
What was the approximate cost for your entire service this time? (If you wouldn't mind sharing!)

Indeed, the Elan is shining!

A few questions from my side;
  • Could you tell me what you plan to do with the damaged alloy?
  • Can it be used as a spare wheel?
  • By when will the shipment of the new alloy arrive?
  • Is it billed already?
  • Also how is the car running after the service?
  • Any noticeable difference?

Hey Conti,
Sorry, I'll do it soon, I've left the bill in our office. Once I get it, will update the costs. But the total of the service was 20,000+.

Thanks bro!

To answer your questions one by one;

1. The driver strongly recommends fitting a tube inside the alloy tire and use it in the same alloy wheel. I am strongly against it and currently it is just lying there in the boot. Will think of something as soon as the new wheel arrives.

2. I had given a though to it, but the bblost gave me a link to a thread and it has been made clear that fitting a tube inside a tubeless tire and using it, is strongly NOT recommended.

3. Mr. Pankaj, the SA at Wasan told me that it will arrive by Thursday. i.e Today. So, I ought to give him a call!

4. No, it hasn't been billed yet. A new tire has been bought and that has been billed.

5. Well, for one the rattling from the dash was disappeared when I drove it. Since a couple days the driver is driving it again so, it is bound to pop up once again. Apart from that, The clutch and brake settings feel much better now.
