if its under warranty , it does not matter if they have a single one or they will replace the entire set , ofcourse knowing our mindset they will probably put double the effort in getting a single one! :)

Just now talked to the service advisor. They do n't have white coloured ( my car's colour) sensor on stock. How ever he has informed me that same will be available within 4/5 days. Also understood, it is possible to replace one sensor & not the entire set. Approx. cost of single sensor is Rs 1,650/-, too high IMO. The service advisor also conformed me that the replacement would be covered under warranty.

Warranty claims can n't be made at the authorized service station which is 60 km away from my town. I have to take the car all the way to the dealership ( 250 km away) for getting the job done. My car is just one & half months old. These kind of problems are really frustrating for such a new car.

I too have the same problem for the last 20 days but I have not been able to get this checked as I have been travelling. This malfunction will be covered by warranty.

Thankfully I'm not facing anything like this even after I got hit from behind. There is some paint coming off from the rear bumper but no dents or any other problems. :)

Same thing happened with my car too a month ago. It was replaced by KUN under warranty. Had to wait for 4-6 days for the part to arrive.

Seems to be a common problem. One of my friend who bought a SX(O) CRDI also complained about this problem. I wonder how these sensors are tested in real life conditions as the test cars are usually completely covered with tarpaulin.

Looks like a way too common problem. Do you guys by any chance know which brand are these stuff? Could you all tell us how long do you guys have the car with you? And did these problems crop up after driving in rains or so?

True - this is a TOTAL RIP OFF! When we get total set including voice assistance feature with an extra IRVM with display for 3K [Red Soul] here, one sensor cost more than half of the entire set. Thank God that these are covered under warranty.

Edit:: Does the display still work flawlessly in-spite of the sensor conking off ?? Also is there a way the "beep" could be turned off permanently?

@swiftnfurious: Display does work fine as this has nothing to do with the sensors. There is no way to turn off the beep. You are forced to listen to the contineous beep invariably while reversing.

As Chitta Pradhan has clarified the beep is continuous. The display system work fine as the two are not connected.

Just did a round trip of 548 kms and this time drove for mileage which meant that I kept the speeds around 90-100 kmph. Got a mileage of 22.3 as per the MID. :D

Chitta the display and the sensors are disconnected units so one can function while the other gives problems unless of course there is problem in areas such as power to the central unit .
Are you sure that the beeping cannot be stopped ? There should be a switch which can be moved / flicked which mutes the sound . I use a sensor only and the switch is behind the mirror

@souravc: No such switch to mute the beep sound. I have gone through the manual casually, do n't remember any method to put off the beep sound.

@KPS: 22.3 as per MID( I suppose with AC) is close to ARAI certified FE. But MID has an error of approx 1.5 km/lit as per my estimates. Even then your FE comes to 20.8 kmph that is very much acceptable for such a powerful car. Please inform FE on TFM once you visit the pump next.

Thanks Tasssem for sharing your experience. By night breaker plus, do you mean OSRAM night breaker, pair costing around Rs. 1300 ? They are 65/60 watts probably. If yes, are they much superior to Philips 100/90 w bulbs which I have upgraded to. Does the night breaker produce whitish light which I do n't like. Please elaborate on this.

Yes, I'm referring to the Osram NBP. But while the suggested MRP may be 1300, you can get these for 950-1100 in most places. They are 55/60 watts and do not require a relay. More importantly you don't need to cut the water resistant cover at the back of the headlamp.

I do not know if they're better than 100/90 since I haven't seen a side by side comparison yet. But I can safely say that they're very usable on highways.

About the color temperature, while these are slightly whiter than stock, they're not similar to Crystal Vision or Diamond Vision. The NBPs have only a partial color filter around the high beam filament region.

Also, I've manually adjusted my headlamps so that at the highest setting, they're almost parallel to the road. This gives me excellent coverage in low beam. If I need the beam to be intensive, I just lower the beam using the switch inside. Gives me an excellent range to work with.

But I guess, the 100/90 would be a better bet in the rains. The deep yellow shade with added wattage would sure come in handy. I'm assuming here though.
