anti rust coating: Can be applied to any metal parts.

Underbody Coating: meant specifically for underbody and the coating is a little denser(thicker).

Guys I would suggest a better and cheaper idea is to get wurth yourself and your painter to a washing station. mount you car and he can do it with a spray gun.

Me and my friends have been doing this with all the cars. It costs just a fraction. since all cars come with a coat, for an add on coat you dont need to spend more. I have just got it done on my new fiesta for just 1300 bucks

But is it possible to get coating for retail use since I've always heard that these kinds of coatings are always sold in bulk ?

Mithun my local spares supplier has it in 1l packing and whatever left after the application can be used on other car. you just need to mix it with thinner on adequate quantities. I think you can also get it at your place because mine is a very small town close to delhi. if they can get it so can anybody.

I don't know about any Wurth contacts but 3M is available at Carnation(not recommended) and Dinitrol at almost all the A.S.S.

I have been using Rubberoid and similar locally made anti rust applications. These are available at almost all automotive paint shops. The rates are like 100-150 bucks per litre. As far as I have understood, its a mix of tar, rubber and paint. You will have to mix it with petrol and apply with a brush (for spraying you will need bigger nozzles). The road noise reduces considerably and a thick finish would ensure that the rust is kept out for good.
The only downside when compared to other expensive brands is that if the water service guy sprays diesel over the coating, it will deteorate gradually.

SAI Colorium JP Nagar Quote 2000 no guarantee. He says the guarantee get void if you under scrape on humps. Bangalore humps are notorious for that.

Fast Track Indiranagar Quote Rs 3900 with tax

Dakshin Honda 4000 + tax 5 yr warranty and recoating on every servicing decided to go for this will get it to day along with 55k km service

I paid 3300/- for 3M underbody coating with 5 years warranty and free re-coating (if damaged) for my Gypsy @bimal auto. It is checked at every service and re-applied if not proper.

re: Underbody treatment / Anti-rust coating for the car

Hi. Is the warranty card for the 3M coating car specific? What does is state I am being told by my toyota etios dealer that warranty card for my underbody coating cannot be issued right now as the etios cards have not been printed - wanted to check if that's valid.

Got 3M underbody treatment done for my Accord at Linkway Honda, Chandivli. ~ 3.8K with 3 years warranty. One good side effect - I have noisy Goodyears and the cabin has considerably quietened down.

re: Underbody treatment / Anti-rust coating for the car

Unless one live in a coastal area or has the habit of washing the car everyday there is no point in any rust-proofing or underbody treatment. The treatment from the manufacturer is more than enough.

If you want rustproofing then get a proper job, underbody, inside doors and inside the sills, etc.

My 2006 Esteem has developed rust patch around the water sprayers on the bonnet.

What would be the best way to deal with such cases.

The car stays n open parking (if it helps in any way)

Get it cleaned and try a new coat of paint around it. Also check whether the water drips from the spray jet since this can cause rust.
