Ok, the clutch plate, pressure plate & release bearing were finally changed at Divine Honda. I must say that these guys are real professionals ! They took at the car at 11.30 and by 3.30, the car was done ! I drove down the hill myself in 2nd/3rd gear with minimal gear change but by the time i was in dehradoon, it was evident that the clutch would'nt last long as on slight pressing of accelerator more than 10% or so, the car would revv up with no change in speed. So i managed to reach to this Workshop and they immediately got on working on the car. Attached are the pics of the work in progress as well as the old and the new clutch/pressure plates.

However, we have another issue now about which divine honda is clueless too (although they are making guesses and trying to be helpful which indeed is appreciated). After i drove the car for about 5KM from the workshop, the burning smell again started. The car is good in pickup and the clutch is smooooth but the burning smell is there. I decided to stay for another day at Mussoorie as it was getting late so on my way back, there was no frequent change of gears, i drove @ around 40km/hr @ 2000rpm and total gear change in uphil drive was just 5-6 times. Still on reaching hotel, the smell could be felt.

The advisor called me while just a while back asking if the smell was still there as i did take the car back and they claimed because they did'nt wash the clutch holding area, it might be the old smell and they did air it when i took it back. So now, they have assured me that if it persists, they would reopen and check what the cause is and that, there is nothing to worry about. Well as of now, im pretty satisfied except this smell part so will update tomorrow how it goes.

The total cost was 22500 (Taxes Included) for the Clutch, pressure plates & release bearing and they were generous to offer me a 200 Rs. discount on the labour of 4000 .

But with jokes apart, anyone planning to go to Divine Honda @ dehradoon, its a reliable place to go with very helpful staff and engineers.
