Not having the same. However, one place you can check out is in Bodomo. There you have option to check based on part number associated with each vehicle make. So, it should be easy for you to find the part number there.

Thanks @mpksuhas, yea but I looked in boodmo it doesn't have any of the service manual that I am looking for. I was able to find one of the Alto 800 (post 2012) service manual which had a similar looking connector for its combination meter. It should have the same connections as mine but not 100% sure. Being a Maruti, it should be same. So getting that manual could be helpful as well. But it costs 3.2k :coldsweat .

Trying swap to the Alto 1.1 cluster (which has a different wiring). I do have the pinouts of the 1.1 cluster. I did find out like half of the wiring with a multimeter but I would like to complete it. Hope someone can help out. Thanks

I have the physical copy of the service manual of old Alto both 1.1L & 0.8L. The part number is: 99500M76G01-74E and costs around Rs.2k.
There is no wiring diagram in this service manual as it points to a different part number.
I got some service manual with wiring diagram in the internet when searching in Google and it matches with my 2009 model Alto and contains 2010 Alto K10.

I also have the soft copy of the service manual of new Alto 800.
The part number is: 99016M53M00-74E and contains the wiring diagram.

I think you need to order the service manual directly from the physical MGP store.

I will check if I can share you the pin-out of the connector that you are looking for.

Thank you so much @bobbyblr, I am really thankful man! My alto 2010 instrument cluster has a single connector with 20 pins (2x10). Hit me up if find anything. Email : benson98tom@gmail.com ,Also could share the soft copy at this email.

I have sent you the service manual with wiring diagram to your email.

Got it, thank you so much @bobbyblr. I've been on this for quite a while now, never got the time.

But things got complicated now. It seems my alto has got CAN communication. I don't know if the service manual refers to only the combination meter of the Alto 800 (Sold post-2012) or is it the same which is used in my alto (2010-2012) BSIV.

So, let me see if I could read the CAN signals using an arduino and converting them to analog (0-12V). I don't know much about CAN communication other than it has a high and a low signal.

If anyone has pointers, please free to post it. Thank you.

Also, does anyone know whether Alto (2010-2012 BSIV) had CAN communication?

Again saying thanks to @bobbyblr for the service manual bro, really helpful.

Posting the wiring diagram of combination meter in the Alto 800 below.

Did every Alto models have CAN protocol like since 2001? I thought it didn't. Correct if I am wrong.

All Maruti cars with fuel injection had OBD ports with CAN protocol just for the Engine control module but it was not OBD1 or 2 compliant but an internal protocol with basic data being transmitted.

CANBUS is RS485 based bus originally published by BOSCH somewhere in the 1980's. It is an open protocol with developer tool kits available online. BOSCH supplies most of the ECU's to Suzuki so its not surprising that a 2010 alto has CANBUS port. Like many other busses, CAN is a SIL2 bus so no critical data is sent through this bus.

Coming to the analyser part, yes, you can hook up an Arduino into the OBD port and observe online the communication between the ECU's but the output will be like a TCP Dump file. Except for some intelligence like ECU hardware number, nothing much can be made out of it unless you have the specific code combinations. These codes are in built into the ECU OBD analyser which Suzuki issues only to their authorized service partners.

So best of luck.

The only data i need would be the check engine light. I am planning to connect the arduino to the OBD2 port get data for error code. If an error code appears, I will wire so that it puts ground to the ECM line on the cluster which will light up the Check Engine Light.

Also the speed, water temp, immobiliser data also comes from CAN lines.
I will be taking the speedometer data directly from the VSS sensor which comes to the ECU. I should be able to piggyback the wire from where it connects to the ecu.( Is taking a connection from an input wire into the ECU a bad move? If anyone knows, let me know.)
For the coolant temp, I will be doing the same.

For the fuel gauge, there is an extra ground called 'Fuel gauge ground' but the speedometer hasn't got any. This, I am not sure.

The rest of signals are pretty much straight forward.
I will attach side by side comparison of the wiring of the combination meter.
