P.S: On the ODO it was 56kms during delivery of Sujith's Punto. The car was pretty dirty and did not look like it was used as a test drive car or something. 90% sure that the showroom guys have not tried to cheat us as we have a good relationship with them from long.
As said by Arun1100, the show room officials were pretty nice to us and co-operating on all our demands as they knew we are from FCB. The car was dusty as all cars look when in a stock yard. There may not be any test drive case behind it.

But I do agree that the car was not up to the mark at the time of delivery. And for this the show room has posted a "Apology" letter to me.
Another flaw by the officials is that there are "HAND PRINTS" on the window glasses, on which the SUNFILM is put. The people who applied the FILMS didn't bother to Clean the Glasses well. NOW I HAVE PERMANENT PALM PRINTS ON MY GLASSES....

Damn!! those plastic bags are unreal, they should'nt be there buddy!! am sure i've not seen them in my car, try and cut them off with a scissor or make a small hole at the bottom so as to drain the water. (leave them on until u get to the showroom IMO, have them give you an explanation)

I havnt really observed the battery bay but my car has taken a pounding in the rains as well, i'll take a look tomorrow and let you know. Hopefully, it's not the rain water seeping into that area, if it is then we have a problem! Could just be distilled water from the battery!

That wire with a clip picture actually scares me! and am afraid am not too familiar with that cable, was it simply attached to the seat belt lock mechanism? that sounds wierd and so not right! I have'nt seen this cable really, will try and look under the seat tomorrow, it's definitely not attached to the locks in my car.

Tell you what buddy, take it down to KHT, have them look at all the 3 issues and give them a piece of your mind if you do not get satisfactory replies. Shoot an email to FIAT highlighting these issues, am sure they'll lend an ear and actually do something about it.

I've had my share of issues with my car but am grateful to all the timely assistance and resolutions provided my Concorde. After my experience, I can assure you that the dealerships actually take FIAT Customer Satisfaction seriously!

Please keep us updated.

@ sujith. Send a mail with the pics you have shown and details to fiat customer care. ALso call their customer care number and tell them that this is how your car looks and you dont think its supposed to be like this. I'm just hoping someone at the dealer has not fiddled around with the car before delivery. PLease do this. FIAT Customer care nowadays seem to be helping out a lot of customers.

Regarding the third pic where the wire is not plugged, I think your seats might be of Active model, which might not have seat belt indicator/alarm feature.

Does Active or Dynamic too have seat belt indicator/alarm feature?

From my experience, the Fiat dealer is supporting the customer very well. We have taken the delivery of Black Fiat punto Emotion pack from Concorde motors Bangalore.

So Far the only issue we find is the A/c is not much efficent. Service center replaced some parts and they refilled the gas once. Now its fine. No other issues found so far.

The only logical explanation I can think of for the seat belt sensors hanging around is that you have been given emotion pack seats/seat belt fittings in a lower end model. Hence the wires dont have anywhere to go into.
I guess the only way that can happen if there was some initial damage to the original seats and the dealers replaced it with this and sold it to you. In any case you've got a bad car - so please lodge a complaint with the dealer and fiat. Also get your sunfilms replaced at no extra cost. Apology letters only look good, they dont help you or your car.

[quote=Sujith1100;1868576]Hi all,

Here are the pictures of a few strange things found in my Punto, and am not able to figure out for what they are used. You guys please help me in this.

1. Whats are these 2 plastic packets inside the bonnet on either side of the car, behind the Headlights ? They are attached to the body and Filled with water. I tried pulling but its held tight. My car's Left packet is with very little water and right one is swollen with water !

2. Water collected in the Battery tray ! I haven't pressure washed the hood nor poured water into it, but the water is collected here. I guess the rain water! BUT HOW CAN THIS HAPPEN ?.Will this not damage the bolts and washers seen in the picture ? Again a bad design ?

3. My PUNTO is an EMOTION model. The car has Seat-Belt warning light only. May I know what is the wire with a clip pin coming out of the Belt lock casing ? The wire was folded and attached to the belt-lock support with an rubber band. Is this supposed to be attached some where or let lose ?

No plastic pouches on my punto. Just checked.
Did not open hood after the rains so I cant comment on the rain water collecting near the bolts.

And definitely no wires around the seatbelt lock!!!!!

Get it checked.

PS: Did you do PDI before taking the vehicle? The last issue of socket and wiring around the seat belt should have been noticed.

Aal izz Well

All smiles now.

All issues are solved now.

1. 2 plastic packets inside the bonnet:
These plastic bags are there in all Punto. It is located in between the front fender and the body, to avoid vibrations.

In my car, they were not fit properly before. Now they just pushed it in between the body and fender.

2. Water in Battery tray:

Minor issue so left it. It is designed liked that so cant help now.

3.Wire with a clip pin:

The driver side seat belt lock was of Emotion Pack. Just the lock was immediately replaced.

4. Sun film problem:

The sun film was fit with hand prints on the glass. So new sun film was replaced.

Feedback about the Service center:

KHT Motors, Brookefields, Bangalore.

I first went to the showroom to meet my sales person. Along with him I then went to the workshop. There I first met Mr. Javeed - CRM. He co-operated with me very well and he advised the technicians to solve all my Problems. Also thanks to Mr. Devaiah - Service Manager for explaining to me all the defects.

Mr. Javeed knew about Team Bhp(he saw the Team Bhp sticker on my car) and I did show him this thread and all Fellow Team-Bhpians feedback.

I rate 9/10 to this TASS for their service.Thankyou all Bhpians for your kind support.

I too accompanied Sujith1100 today. I am really happy with TASS.

It was really nice to know that they were aware of Team Bhp and FCB.

I showed them the pics of GTX007's Linea rusting. First they said me was "This cannot be Bangalore!". They said that only one case of rusting was heard of from Prerana Motors. Otherwise they were very confident that there no major issues.

I also asked them about the Fiat spare parts availability. I remember reading in the Forum that someone had issues with non availability of Air Filter for Punto. They immediately called the spares and confirmed that there is no such spares problem of Fiat cars.

Sorry guys. Couldn't accompany you both to the TASS.

Good to hear from many Team Bhpians saying that the Fiat customer service is improving and Sujith's Punto problem was solved.

Regarding the Seat belt lock being replaced, did they fix a new lock to your car or did they remove it from some other Punto in the workshop?!!

If your car is well know then it will be well even after the service!

Why are you worried about the service? Any issues with your Punto which is due to be solved during the service?

Sujith - good to hear all issues were resolved. But did they say why there was a wrong seat belt lock in the first place?
