Idling fluctuations!! only when headlights on

can a failing ignition coil cause interminnent drop in rpm ( scenario: when the foot is on clutch, foot off accelerator, slowing down and shifting to lower gear). Just a momentary drop when i press the clutch and slow down while shifting to lowe gear.

Will a 1.6 8V ignition coil be compatible on a 1.48V car ?
