Proper way to fill empty radiator in Maruti 800?

plz tell me how to refill the radiator after emptying it disconnection the hose at the bottom of radiator. should I fill the radiator only with water, and pour the coolant only in reservoir? or Should I mix the water and coolant into radiator, and fill the same in reservoir? How much coolant should I use in Maruti 800 Carb model?

Mix the water and coolant in the right ratio and then fill it.

1liter coolant 2 liter distilled water. mix it and fill the radiator and the rest on reservior.

topp it up whenever necessary. and flush it once a year.

This is what I follow after flushing.

Note: This has to be done when Engine is cool

-Fill the empty ratiator with water+coolant mixture till it comes to the neck till you feel the water isn't going in anymore.
-Now start the engine and leave it in idle. The radiator cap has to be open.
-After 2-3min you will see a drop in the level of water+coolant mixture as its sucked in.
-Topup again while the engine is still running.
-Close the radiator cap.
-Fill the reservoir till the indicated level with the water+coolant mixture.

Thats it! you have a cool ride :-)

Hi People,

One wants to flush out one's Maruti 800 car's radiator completely and replace the coolant-water mix as DIY.

I have to procure the materials from the market.

How much coolant and distilled water does one need to buy for refilling the cooling system of a Maruti 800? Cost?
