Hi Guys,

Yesterday, I did some scouting around some mechanics (roadside ones) and one of them informed me that there are KBX brake pads available for Baleno for a price of Rs 660. I did not change as I was not sure about the pads and thought need some expert advise from the forum.

Guys hence a question - do you think the KBX brake pads would be good for my car. if not kindly provide let me know where I can the pads.

Regards,
Kailash

@kailashnj: If they are genuine then you are perfectly fine with KBX.

buy the sgp ones. its worth the money. KBX starts squeaking in a month, atleast happened to me twice. Never buy hindustan composites, you can use a pair of stones instead.

Hi Guys,

Bosch has launched baleno brake pads. Do you think they are better than the OEM brake pads as advertised, has any one used them before.

They are charging Rs600 for a pair of brake pads. Kindly let me know.

Not sure how good the Bosch ones are, but coming from a reputed company like Bosch I am sure they will be pretty good. I doubt anyone I know has used anything but the OE SGP brake pads. So you might be the first one to report this. Awaiting your review. I would prefer Bosch over KBX.

Such a huge difference between SGP (Rs.2.7K) and Bosch (Rs.0.6k) brake pads.......... What's the life time for brake pads?

Kailsash- Have you purchased the Bosch brake pads?

IIRC, KBX is a Bosch company now, so in all likelyhood, they are just renamed to Bosch.

Hi,

I have installed the Bosch brake pads on to my car and the perform as good as the stock. I had at first thought that there might me some brake noise that I may have to bear but to my surprise and after 2k kms on the new brake pads there is no noise and i am really satisfied with the performance.

I had a bad experience due to the rains in Mumbai as an after effect of Phyan hurricane. I was returning from Office and was driving at a speed of 70 on the highway when suddenly a trucker ahead of me braked hard and turned to his right. I had to apply emergency brakes but the car held up and there was no issues with the brake bite. Hence I can safely say Bosch brake pads are good.

KBX is now Robert Bosch Chassis Systems - they have started manufacturing brake components for a few Hi-on-Japanese-content cars like Versa;no problem at all -enjoy the pads

Yes,they will not be as great as SGP quality but please remember, they are no run-of-the-mill company and have been making brake components for Donkey's years

Re: Baleno - Brakes

If you are looking for better bite than the hard SGP's and wouldnt mind spending 1-2k more, id suggest Mintex aftermarket pads. I believe Joel @ raceconcepts has ready stock and will ship.

Cheers!

Re: Baleno - Brakes

My Baleno brake pads are due for change. How good are Bosch / KBX pads available over Snapdeal / Jazzmyride / Shopclues?
