I would wonder, why would Chevron want to close their operations from the world's second biggest emerging market? Need to prod more deeper into this.

takecare and drive safely

Remember the main market is not the cars but trucks & buses. Obviously they are not getting enough (I wonder any?) sales there.

Bad news!!
Does anyone know how do we source Chevron going further? There is stock available in market now, but I dont think we can stock huge amount as we cant stock it for more than 1-2 year (from the mfg date) I guess.

Need some response urgently

Hi Guys,

My Safari TCIC is in the workshop and I am planning to change my engine oil tomorrow after using the Bardahl engine tune up and flush treatment and then using the Bardahl Special Duty with the new engine oil post the flush. What engine oil would be optimal? Am lookign at mineral oils and not synthetics. Need at least 3 options ranked by preference.

Look forward to the help!

Cheers,
AVR

Guys, i have a query. I own a Getz CRDI and i have been using Mobil Super 1000 15W-40 CH4 grade oil for the last 10000 km. Since a lot of our members are recommending Mobil Delvac MX which has a higher grade{CI4}, i want to shift to delvac MX in my next oil change.

Do i need to go for an engine flush before the oil change. Please note that the branch of oil remains the same{Mobil}

Pls suggest

Not required if your car has run under 20k kms, more than this it will be a good idea for flush at oil change, irrespective of brand.

So to move from Mobil 1000 to Delvac you dont need to flush.

Now that Chevron are on their way out, anybody has feedback about Gulf Oil ?

Gulf Max TD 15W-40 - Engine Oil for Cars and Utility Vehicles by Gulf Oil

They have launched a CI-4 rated 15W-40 diesel engine oil and I want to try it on my Indica.

Check out with your service advisor or workshop manager on what specification of oil they recommend and buy the same or higher from open market and go. Initially the service advisor can show resistance to use external oil but after a bit of coaxing/threatening (to take up this with Mahindra) they would eventually agree.
