A few years back Autocar India had done a really great AC test.

They measured the temperature at the vent, as well as in the cabin etc etc. It was carried out in a very professional and scientific manner. See if you can find the issue.

I do remember that the accent probably came in 2nd at the time. Cant remember which car the coldest AC belonged too....(baleno? palio?)

Check this site out for an infrared thermometer to measure temperatures of all parts of the car including the AC vents, etc...

Infrared Thermometers for Automotive Uses

Out of the cars i have used over a long time, i found that the AC of the safari and the 118NE were the most effective.

Are you sure it's 4.5° C ? Or is there a typo?
4.5 seems to be very very low.

yes it's 4.5° C (no typo error), tested 2 more popular cars in same category at same time and they came to 6.5° C and 6.8° C with same digital thermometer. The test was done by placing the sensor to the middle right vent of all the cars.

The lowest temperature that I have seen in my ambassador is 9.5C at the A/C vent, so i guess it's very much possible for 4.5 in a Verna.
