900/- per dent is his standard rate. Re the minor scratches, he had some mysterious liquid which did a fabulous job in one go. Will be calling him up and finding out more details about this liquid. We can all keep this liquid for future use, just in case.

He used some kind of glue which he heated to almost boiling point. He then poured this heated glue on a flat small disc and pasted that disc on the dent. After few minutes, he used a weird looking iron rod and pulled the dent out. Quite an efficient technique I must say.

Ok so this different technique was also for dent removal. I thought he had some magic potion for removal of scratches. Something on the lines of 'Scratch Out'.

Aargh, I can imagine how that hurt. Seriously, they have managed to rip apart a once fabulous road stretch by putting up unnecessary and unmarked dividers all over.

I know it is difficult to understand how a bike cannot be managed at those speeds but a couple of weeks ago a rashly driven Honda City almost knocked me over. I was doing around 30 on my bike and wobbled my way to safety. But he merrily proceeded on his way as did another lady Beat driver who followed the pattern.

IMHO the problem on that road is that not only bikes but even cars and other bigger vehicles zig zag & swerve all across the width of the road.
Not to mention vehicles crossing the road at full speeds without an eye for oncoming traffic.
And that it is very poorly lit.
And some vehicles double park or just wait on the roadside because there is no parking available.
And some peds who end up walking outside these vehicles almost in the 2nd lane because the pavement is dug up and there are 2 rows of vehicles.
And some morons who come up the wrong side now that it is a one way road
And.. forget it, this is turning into a rant. We all know the usual suspects

Oh by the way, I bumped into the divider outside your house while turning left from the Solaris street on Saturday night. I was trying to save a 2 wheeler moron (well actually saving my Jazz from being run into) who was overtaking me from the left while turning.

I will need the dent removal guy's number too. @ajay, I have PMed you, can you please send me the number? Seriously, seems like good business. Wonder how much I would make in Blr if I did this. Or perhaps I should learn it and break the monopoly here

Re: Paintless Dent repair

Ajay, good to hear that the job's well done. This guy is seriosuly great in his work. I only wish he extends his work to other cities as well. From the conversation I had with him, he plans to extend his work to Navi Mumbai too. Later, down the line he shall extend it to Mumbai.

Bala, I am supposed to call him tomorrow to my place for the Swift work. If you are free around noon. Drop by, we can get it fixed for your Jazz too. About the turn from Solaris, be very careful. The way the patrons park is not funny. These guys need a refresher in driving and parking skills .

Been following this thread and your experience with this magician. Would it be okay if I get my ANHC to your place to show this guy if he could fix a very minor dent on my rear door.

Do you intend to call him around noon? if so, I will try to call him a bit earlier than that. Is that ok? I suspect that I have to go somewhere around noon, though I dont remember if it was Saturday or Sunday. And I dare not ask, as I have already asked twice. Apparently I may have not been all ears

Aah the fun in growing old

Bala, dare not ask the LoH again. I dont have a spare room in my house to accommodate you! So, if you plan to call him before noon, Ill do so later. That ways, this guy will be in Kothrud and would be able to do 3 jobs in once go.

Man, this guy should pay us commission, now that we are promoting him .

Hey NVI2112

This person is ready to come to Mumbai. Just give him a call and fix up a time. He might charge a little more than 900, since he has to travel to Mumbai, but all this you can discuss on the phone. If you go back a few pages you will find the contact details. Otherwise PM me for the contacts.

Re: Paintless Dent repair

Mr. Gaikwad is amazing. Not only did he work on the dent, he even saw a minor scratch on the right rear and fixed it promptly. A little more than 25 mins, and my Swift was as good as new.

The best part about this guy - We had fixed an appointment for 12:45PM. At 12:40 he calls me saying he is stuck somewhere and shall be able to make to my house only by 1:00! What dedication. This is what I call service.

To all those wanting him to come down to Bombay - As of now, he accepts jobs only in Navi Mumbai. For lack of man power, he is unable to expand further.

What I really appreciated the honesty of this guy, I was all Gung Ho to get the dent fixed on my Honda City at Swanand's place. Looking at the nature of the dent this guy said that he could work on it but it would still not have the same finish as Swanand's swift and that I should get it done from Honda. He could have gone ahead and made the quick buck. He did get rid of the scratches around the dent and when I offered to pay he did not charge me.
Now the dent doesn't look that bad. Should have asked him what solution/liquid he used to get rid of the scratches .
