Re: Paintless Dent repair

If you are in Bengaluru here is a contact. I just chanced upon his number from a road side poster.
The guy does amazing work right at your door step.
Srinivas N +919980207030

My Duster had a dent near the headlight and bumper got dislodged. My mechanic put a screw thru to hold it temporarily. Lucky the headlight was not broken during the mishap. Not major but an eye soar.

Re: Paintless Dent repair

PDR is decreasing in popularity of late, at least in Bangalore and many who were doing it in the past aren't doing it now. The denters themselves are skeptical of the outcome and aren't assuring success. The charges are quite high as well.
I had PDR done by one guy twice. The first one was about a year back for an ugly stone dent/ding near the rear right wheel arch(paint was intact) and the result was brilliant. The dent was gone. It worked!
The second time around(similar dent), I contacted the same guy but he couldn't come due to an injury and had sent his elder brother instead. He never told me he wasn't coming and his brother shower up with another kid. This guy botched the PDR job totally. He tried to access the dent via the rear wheel arch cladding and ended up changing the shape of the arch, chipping the paint and causing a new dent below the original dent doing more harm than good.
I got persistent with them and finally got a partial refund. I eventually got that panel repainted. Quite risky actually. Pure luck that this guy was ethical and I got some money back. This was doorstep service and had he not answered my calls there was no way I could trace him and push for a refund.

I did not want to lose my original paint so decided to dig deeper in this forum for PDR and found Mr. Sudhir Gaikwad's contact. Called him up and luckily he was in Mumbai. He came over and in about 30 minutes flat repaired the dent on my car. Best part is that he comes over at home for all the repair work.
I am in no way associated with him but I would highly recommend him for PDR. He mentioned he takes repair work in Mumbai, Pune and Goa.His contact in case someone needs it 95526 29516.
Attaching a couple of pics for reference.
Have used Sudhir’s services and he is really good. No association with him, but strongly recommend him.

Re: Paintless Dent repair

Looking to get this small round dent on the electric tailgate removed in Bengaluru. Would appreciate any leads or suggestions. Yet to take a quote from the dealer but I'm guessing since it's a BMW they'll suggest to claim insurance and replace the tailgate lol.

Don't know how it got there, had parked the car with a cover for a week in my house and found it when I came back and removed the cover.

A monkey created a dent on my Honda's roof

After a few days of procrastination, I finally decided to check out my 4th-gen Honda City. While going through the car, I happened to glance upon a big "crater" on the car's roof near the shark fin. My Neighbour's testimonial along with the broken flowerpots, all pointed to a single direction, my car succumbed to a gang of belligerent monkeys.

There is a big tree overshadowing the car, with a long gap between the tree and the car far down below it, giving enough window for someone to climb up there and jump down, unobstructed by any vegetation. The monkeys per se are not a new sight, we've been seeing them forever. It's a common summer sight to see broken flowerpots once every few weeks. Today's event, however, was a little higher on the intensity band.

I sat in the rear seat and tried to push the lump above, and to my surprise, it worked! There still remains a subtle dent near the area, but the larger issue stands resolved... at least on sight.

I feel a bit uneasy about this. I'm not particularly initiated in matters surrounding a car's bodyshell integrity. Are car roofs supposed to be dented like this? Even supposing that the impact proportional to the speed and height would've generated enough force to lump the roof, aren't cars designed to withstand such a force?

Should I consider the deal closed and forget about it or consider getting the car checked somewhere? Would really use some advice.

Attaching pictures of before I pushed the dent above. It's barely visible due to the white paint of car and the bright surroundings, but I think they'll work.

Re: Paintless Dent repair

First of all thanks to fellow BHPian HILLMAN for referring Mr. Srinivas.

So as the luck would have it, a coconut fell on my 1 month old XUV 700. It left a very noticeable dent on the left fender. And to add salt to injury the dent was right on the body line. Only relief was that the paint was intact. I tried contacting major body shops including the ASS. No body was ready to carry out paintless dent repair. Everyone was hell bent on repainting. Then I came across the post by BHPian HILLMAN and decided to give Mr. Srinivas a try. To my surprise he did an exceptional job in taking out the dent without any paint damage. Since I got the ceramic coat from 3M, after repair I took the car for repolishing and recoat of ceramic fluid on the effected area. Attaching the photos for the quality of work from Mr. Srinivas.

Dent on the car due to coconut strike. May not be very clear as the car is silver color.

Would you be able to share how much do they charge for a single dent removal ? Dont need an exact figure but I got quoted 3.2k for a dent removal without repainting, whereas a bosch workshop quoted 4k for the same but with repainting. Confused as to which option I should consider ?

Thanks in advance

I see you're still parked under the coconut tree
