Re: Paintless Dent repair

Dears,
Find attached snaps of dents on my Liva which was caused due to a goat-hit in Oct this year. Any place in Chennai which can do the paintless dent job?

Steal your wife's hair dryer and sneak it behind that bumper for a while. The bumper will regain its shape in a while. Else Chennai heat itself must sort the issue. Don't worry Leave it parked in the sun for a while and push the dent out from inside. The whole place will be spot less later.

Re: Paintless Dent repair

Recently my SX4 was shunted at the back by a biker who apparently didn't have working brakes on Old Airport Road when he tried to nudge the gap in a signal. Sadly I couldn't get to meet that biker since my dad had taken the car out when this happened. The biker was very apologetic and at the same time my dad is very forgiving and he was let go. The resultant damage was this:

Paintless Dent repair-wp_20150220_19_19_52_pro.jpg

And I came back in the evening to find my dad very disappointed about this, since this was the first time in six years that the car was damaged in such a manner. It looked really bad and the bike was mangled too it seems, which is evident from the damage. Before an indiCAB had run into the car at a slow speed but the damage to the bumper was ZERO. So this was pretty fast and miraculously the biker didnt get injured.

Later that evening my parents went out shopping and yours truly took some tools to the basement . Brought down the bumper from the body to access the dent, heated the whole area and pushed it out. Within an hour, this was the outcome:

And later that night, this was the final result:

Caught my dad by surprise Have to live with some of the damage though. The bumper was chipped off which I touched up using paint but when viewed carefully the marks are visible. The best part was that our watchman met me near the gate and told me that the car was damaged. I asked him to show where and when we went to the car, he was speechless.

Re: Paintless Dent repair

Last week the inevitable happened. My Verna was taken out by a relative and returned with some bumps and bruises. While searching for ways to fix the dent without full bumper repaint (as would be the norm with ASS), came across this article on PDR on t-bhp.

Gave Mr Gaikwad a call and as stated in the post, he came to my place and did his thing with just minor paint touch ups using a brush, all within an hour. The before and after pics speak for themselves.

Re: Paintless Dent repair

It happened last year. While reversing in the dark, I didn't spot a bike parked and got these dents on right doors. After applying rubbing compound I managed to get rid of the black color but dents were still there. No paint is peeled off. I did not want to re-paint both the doors.

I called Sudheer Gaikwad. He said it’s very difficult to fix such (lines) dents 100%. Next day he came and fixed them within 30 minutes. From certain angle a very thin line can be seen but its ok for me. Very happy with his work.

Re: Paintless Dent repair

Gentlemen,

I would appreciate any references to a PDR professional in Bangalore. MY driver had my XUV dented at the rear by a Tempo Traveller yesterday.

TIA.

Nope! I had infact took it to Trend and he suggested to let it be since the dent was not major. Apparently, PDR works better with lighter color paints and surfaces without creases. Mine is Opulent Purple and the dent being bang on the crease, he advised against it. Hence living with it! But have referred multiple friends to Trend and they are quite happy!

Re: Paintless Dent repair

I have a black color Duster and there are 3 areas impacted by some retards while they banged their vehicle door onto mine. Its a flat surface so ideal candidate for PDR but Trend is not convenient for me location wise, hence the search.

Re: Paintless Dent repair

Hit a Dog while returning from Hyderabad to Bangalore day before yesterday. The dog survived and ran away but left a dent on my driver side door plus on the upper side of runner board. Below are the pics.

I heard a loud sound and was surprised how the dog survived the crash; its shit was all over the length of the car from the dent location.
