Chassis number of i10

My sister is getting transferred and wants to take her i10 from Karnataka to Kerala. As part of procedure for NOC, we need to take a pencil shade of the chassis number.

Can someone tell me where the chassis number for i10 is embossed. Usually in many cars it is inside the engine bay on the firewall. I could not find it there.

Call trident or Advaith for the exact location if you are not able to find in Manual

Well for getz its below the drivers seat. slide the driver's seat back and there is a flap of carpet there. Just remove that and the chassis number will be revealed. I am guessing its same for i10 also, since its the same manufacturer.

It is on the left side B-pillar, almost at the bottom.

See the black strip in this pic, that is it:

Thanks for this, but I am looking for the place where it is directly embossed on the body. Please let me know if you know this location.

I have moved my car from Bangalore to Kolkata and going to apply for NOC in Bangalore RTO. I need to take chassis print of the car. Where is it in the car? From these posts I got a feeling that it could be in many places (below the seat of the driver, near B-pillar, somewhere after I open the bonnet [I have not found it yet]). Do you think I can take the pencil print of the chassis number from any place in the car?

its below the drivers seat on the front rail support of the seat(the raised portion on the floor). there is a flap on the floor carpet, lift it, there is a hole in the carpet and you can see it there. slightly difficult to take a pencil print from there because of the carpet but its still possible. for all the other guys. its not legal to take the print from the manufaturers plate (on the left door). although like all govt departments many RTOs turn a blind eye to it.

Re: Chassis number of i10

Need to file for a NOC for my '02 Santro. Where can I find the engine number on the block? The imprint from the identification plate on firewall is not legible at all.
Chassis number from firewall is coming onto the paper fine.
