@sarathlal; Sorry to correct you but in the past the propellant was CFC. This is why 3M removed their Scotchguard from the market for a couple of years. What I am saying is info from one of the biggest fillers of Aerosols in India. It is possible that other propellants are also used in specialised applications.

In cold starts, I observed the rpm is going slightly up & down when I turn the steering wheel to my left or right. I don't understand why this is happening?

Also, when I press the brake and put the gear in drive mode (automatic), there is a slight krrr sound coming until I release the brake and car moves forward. (This is also happening only on Cold starts.)

Can any one please clarify what's wrong with it?

The rpm fluctuate is normal and happens with my car too.I believe this is due to the power steering pump which runs on the engine and i guess turning the wheel will lead to some rpm fluctuating.

I think like any other manual tranny car the civic clutch would need a overhaul when it becomes hard to depress the pedal and shift gears.The mileage could be anything i guess between 40k and 80k depending upon how the clutch pedal was treated.I think it will cost around 12k at Hass to overhaul.

The driver side is the fastest in my case while the passenger side is lethargic.Haven't noticed the speed of other windows as they are not much used.

2008 bangalore registered white colour
22k done with manual transmission
Yet to see the car and test drive it.

Let me know what price we can offer?

Is it worth buying a 5 yesr old car, will the maintenance costs be very high?

What should I look specially in the car to make a decision?

22k in 5 years is very low running, which is not a really good sign either, especially if it is not single owner.

To add on from sumeethaldankar;
Obtain the service records from HASS and check whether the service intervals match with the dates and kilometers.
Also check for wear and tear of pedals and tires to verify they are in line with the low mileage.

Another negative i see with 2008 is, it is pre facelift model, so likely chances of engine mount issue and gc.

A civic five years old is as good as new.

So look for other things which can go wrong.

Do check for rust in body panel, accident tell tale signs and mounts.
