Which oil flush did you use and how many KM your vehicle has completed ?
Was it first time that you flushed the engine ?

Ask T.A.S.S to add Bardhal treatment in Oil , It surely lowers NVH however I am not sure if there are other benefits or not. I got Bardhal Oil tratment long back however decided that I can live with slightly higher NVH so never tried again.

I meant total KM on odometer , Heard that removing carbon from old engine sometimes increases the harshness so I asked. Also in my experience NVH settles down after a couple of thousand KM of oil change or may be my ears get used to it

Try Bardhal its surely reduces sound a lot.

Hi All,

RMP meter and speedo meter of my dicor is misbehaving and need replacement. I was looking on the net for after market and found this link:
http://www.99rpm.com/tata/instrument...fari-2008.html

They are quoting 8903 for it. Please tell me is this the reasonable cost , specifically cheaper than TASS will charge and will this be reliable. Also if I buy will the road side workshops able to replace it.

re: The Tata Safari 2.2L Technical / Problems Thread

I fitted the Engine Noise Shield and the bottom guard (for the gearbox) from Concorde for about Rs.3527/- Not bad considering that this site shows the same price (about Rs.3000/- including the bolts) that I paid in Concorde.

I had lost these underbody shields when I drove over bad roads near Hampi. They must have rusted earlier.

re: The Tata Safari 2.2L Technical / Problems Thread

My friend's 2012 Safari is due for its 40k service.
Last time, he had given it for service at the Begur road concorde for service.
Although there was nothing to dislike about the experience, he was not completely satisfied with them either.
Can anybody let me know of a good service centre for Tata Safari in Bengaluru?

Since more than a few things have to be changed in the 40K service, he wants to get it done in the best possible place.

You can also check out scrap markets for accidental vehicles.

I will still rate the Concorde motors experience as the best in Bangalore. at their Begur facility ask for ASAF, their SA and Ganesh their Supervisor to work on your car. They've never failed me of left anything to be desired.

In north bangalore, EMM EMM Motors in horamavu is the best option.

Go to Chawri Bazaar metro station(not in your safari, take metro). Get down and ask for Chor bazaar. You will start seeing scrapped vehicles, and burnt down vehicles and stuff. You may need to spend a few hours to find what you need. Take some pictures of your konsole so you find something matching. Remember, it may turn out to be not working.
