Take your pick - more noise or jerks/clogged injectors and what not

This is more pronounced when the wheels are turned.
I have inspected the wheel well, and the wheels do not appear to be touching anywhere, so it feels somewhat like an "internal" grab.
Any ideas?
Are my brake discs grabbing? Is it the bearing or something gone(but there is no typical bearing sound).

Hi,

I have exactly the same issue and so do a couple of other owners here on the forum. I have also visited the TASS a couple of times to get this sorted out. They acknowledged the sound of the brakes grabbing and told me that the brakes needed cleaning.

They opened the discs and the rear drums, cleaned the pads and drums and told me that it wont come again. It was fine for a few days but the grabbing sound and vibration is now back when the brakes are hot and are applied very lightly.

Seems to me like a pad issue, I was reading on the internet that that brake pads have copper, brass and / or steel wool shavings and these make the grabbing sound and vibration when braking with a light foot at very slow speeds.

If you are able to resolve the issue do let us know.

Hello

One more query
Sometimes I find it difficult to engage reverse gear it won't engage or if it gets engaged it may get stuck I am depressing the clutch pedal complete

After I put it in first and then again it engages

Second

The reverse parking sensor display on LCD sometimes has mind of it's own

It gets stuck at 0.3m with continous beep

When I switch of the ignition then it resets else in the entire drive whenever I engage it it gets stuck on 0.3 m

However I have noticed this stuck only happens if the gear thing happens

So any inputs guys

REQUEST: Guys, can we restrict this thread to technical problems only?

Buying experiences & buying guides should be posted elsewhere.......

quite common on big diesel with hard clutch , reverse gear is not synchronised in most of the cars so it happens the cure is pressing and releasing clutch once. Clutch bleeding will cure for few days but it will come back.
Heard on T-BHP that is happens on few maruti's as well.

In such case can you ask some one to check if the reverse light also remains on ? Ask T.A.S.S to check the reverse light switch, I think it gets stuck in your case.

What could be that other possible cause you have in mind? I would want to try this out too.

Thanks you all for your advise.
Under your circumstances, I would suggest using System D for a tankful only.

Without smoke the other possible causes dont apply to you.

Yup; sure do. I have the Safari and the Maruti, happens in both. Solution is to put in first and then slot in reverse.

Not to set of any alarms, but if it gets too hard, have the clutch sensor checked by Delphi. Have come across a case where this was the culprit.

At any distance of 0.6m or less, the beep is continuous. So, at 0.3m on sensor, you are too close and you will definitely have the continuous beep.

One simple check is your sensor face to see if anything is stuck to it(!).

I had faced this issue just once where the beep went on, well, beeping! Wanted to check if there was any loose contact and gave the back bumper, where the sensor is fitted, few bangs with my hand. Sensor has been behaving proper ever since. And no, there was no loose contact when I checked it, when on a lift, on a later visit to TASS.

Hi,

I think recently the sound of the engine is more when the rpm is over 2500. I normally do not drive over 2500. On a few occasions when I did drive over 2500 rpm, the engine noise was really loud.

I have a TCIC safari. Is this just an illusion or there could be any possible reasons for it?

I have researched online and people are talking about trapped air etc as possible cause.

There is no loss of pickup.

Thanks in advance.

One more noob question

Yesterday I took my car for a good ride at night on a plain stretch when I left the steering the car went to the left

I want to ask if new cars from factory require wheel alignment

Mine are alloys

Could I have a puncture but not knowing as I am new to tubeless tyre

If I go to service station will they charge me for wheel alignment if to be done

My car is just 4 days old

No they will not charge you just go back and tell them that its pulling to the left and alignment was missed in their PDI, they will do it FOC.

Yes they do require a wheel alignment done by the service people before giving the delivery and take your vehicle to your dealer and will be done free of cost.

Do not worry if there is a puncture the tyre won't release full AIR at once, the AIR is discharged at a very low frequency depending on the type of puncture.

@suman:

The turbo whistle above 2.5K or 3K is more pronounced then at lower rpm's. What type of noise are you talking about, Is it some kind of knocking or else?
How many kms has your Safari done, I read somewhere that it has done 2.5L kms.
