45k kms crossed, is it.

So, you were charged for consumables and also the labour; so what is free in this "free service"? The wash?

Fixed: IRVM LCD (on VX) causing radio interference

Just an update- this has been fixed on my Safari under warranty last week. A bigger IRVM with a bigger LCD is fitted now. Couple of pics here http://www.team-bhp.com/forum/1590671-post77.html

You missed the details of work done. He mentioned, wheel alignment, balancing Waxoyl etc. They are not part of usual service- it will be charged extra.

Got my IRVM changed yesterday. The hissing has dissapeared, but unlucky me the LCD screen is the same size as the one I already had. Now apart from the dissapointment this leaves me wondering as to how many models of LCD IRVM come with VX. I have seen three in the last 2 months.

Not to worry sidcruise. How is the delay in image on your new LCD?

Mine is bigger and slower than earlier. Image comes 2 sec after engaging gear and looks like added mass of mirror makes it vibrate a wee bit when idling/jerking. As they say

Thanks BJ, There is almost no delay, maybe a second max as was with the old IRVM and the dimensions of the IRVM are also the same as teh old one. However there is no vibration whatsoever.

The oil filter charged is very very less. ~ 2 months, I was charged Rs. 644.44 for assembly oil filter #278909130106.
Subsequently RAHULK76 informed that the price is now Rs. 714+

Please recheck 644.44 or 714 should be Air Filter , Oil Filter was always 161 Rs.

Just last month I had this done. Check the invoice (1st item) here http://www.team-bhp.com/forum/1564337-post71.html

Note: Oil filter is often changed item (every oil change) for 7k-15k kms or one year. It can't be so costly otherwise safari normal maintenance will be too high.

Yes agreed. My bad.

I quoted the price for air filter and not oil filter. The price for oil filter is correct as mentioned by Gowda.
My apologies....

Hi guys!
Good news for those whose radiator cap leaks-there's another retro, they are changing the black plastic nozzle (where the radiator cap is fitted).I complained about the coolant leakage (while revving) to the pune guys during the 1st retro fitment and was told that they will forward this complaint to concerned dept. and on my last visit to TASS this nozzle was retrofitted. Now the radiator cap sits pretty tight and there is no leakage even at very high revs.

@Itmylife
I don't have the pic with me as I have changed my fone recently but you don't need to a technical person to locate the part, I am sure you have seen your safari's radiator cap - its the part the cap is fastened on.
