Guys this is a pic from a fellow BHPians Evo9 in NYC.
These are Vortex Generators- please share your opinions on how they function, what are they used for, all tech spec please.

Continuing on this topic, I've seen lots of info on the net & most speak favorably about these vortex generators.

The pic below is of an 'airtab' vortex generator.
The second pic is a CFD representation of the Mitsubishi vortex generator at work.

The speed has increased, stability at High Speed is Superb . Road Grip is Great . Also there is less stress on the Engine . Driving has become Comfertable Even the Driver doesn't get tired . Mileage has increased to 17km perlite . From 8/11 earlier. Also changing of lane at high speed has become much easier . Steering feels Light and Easy. You experience a New and Different Feeling altogether . Definetly AIRTEZ is The Right Thing to be Installed on Your Vehicle.

From where did you buy the vortex generators (the ones on the Xylo), Is it from Airtabs?

Between the ones you have used on the Swift and the Xylo which one did you find more effective. Did you get the positioning template with the ones you bought for Swift?

Mileage increase of nearly 6 to 9kmpl is hard to believe, on which vehicle did you see this gain? I suppose the mileage is for highway driving.

Really Mr Gorkha?
I fitted something called a "Pine Tree perfume" in my car!
Now my car gives me a millage of 22 KM! compared to just 10 before the pine tree.
My car also feel alive now. Smells good too!
Definetly "Pine Tree perfume" is The Right Thing to be Installed on Your Vehicle.

@Captain Slow, please make an objective comparison.

Has:

• the speed of your car increased;
• stability at High Speed increased;
• road grip increased;
• stress on the engine reduced;
• driving become confortable;
• your driver stopped getting tired;
• lane changing at high speed become easier;
• steering become light and easy.

If the above have not happened, I am afraid that "Pine Tree perfume" cannot be compared with Airtez.

By the way, I achieved all (well almost all) the above in my Indica without either "Pine Tree perfume" or Airtez. I simply sold the Indica and bought an Innova.

Vortex generators will help cut through air and will reduce/decrease the air resistance and redirect the flow so that there isnt much air resistance only at high speeds. Normal road driving will not benefit from vortex generators at all.

Reducing driver fatigue: Relax and drive. Take a break after driving for a stretch
Increasing mileage: Drive the car in a steady manner with minimal shifts and ac at a good comfortable setting. Run your car with the correct tyre pressure.
Road Grip: Good tyres with sufficient tread depth and correct width.
Lane changing at high speed: Unless you are suicidal, you won't do this.
Driving becomes comfortable: Unless these have been attached to the driver seat for additional benefits of accupressure and accupuncture, i don't see how.
Steering becomes light: How?

After reading the benefits that have been quoted, i feel i should remove all the tyres from the car and just run with vortex generators alone .
