Tush and others who have written about the above similar problem, I don't know if you guys have gone through the review of my SX4 but I am facing a similar problem like what you have mentioned. I have always thought that the problem is the EPS. Maybe it is or maybe it's something else. I test drove 2 Wagon R's, 1 Zen Estilo and the demo SX4 at a Maruti dealer and all cars exhibited this problem.

I cannot compare a Swift DDIS with Alto, WagonR or for that matter SX4 at least for the time being as i am not aware if they use the same EPS assembly,motor and torque sensors. Just wanted to let you know that there is some torque sensors to EPS which needs to be set to make sure that the steering is responding well to slightest of uneven surface. Just get that checked. And as i understood from your thread you are going to get some replacement for engine mounting and front axel which is hopefully related to your car issue.
I also hope they have not done any sort of modifications whatsoever to your 8 lakhs car. Just investigate about it as a manufacturer is not supposed to do any modification to a car and that too without the consent of the owner.

I'm having the same issue too.
My DDIS is a month and a half old, and it's been pulling to the left from Day 1. Got the car from Vitesse, and I live a couple of minutes away so I didn't notice this on the drive home, but did notice this the next day. Wasn't too concerned since I was getting rid of the stock tyres and rims within a week anyway.


But even after upgrading the rims and the tyres (195/60 R15) it still pulls to the left. I went back to the tyre and and alloy guy (had him do a complete cross-swap of all four tyres) and she still pulls to the left.

The car went for the first (1000Km) service and I told the service advisor at the Vitesse workshop about this. They did the alignment and balancing and she STILL pulls to the left (but a little less than before).

Seems like it's a common issue with a lot of Swift-Ds.

Make sure that you check it on different roads in your city. And everytime you are convinced that its pulling to left, take it to the service station and get a job card created for this issue. Dont get done anything from the service station without creating a job card.

Only thing that is of concern in your case is the service station might argue that you dont have stock tyres.

I've driven all over the city, and it pulls to the left everywhere.
They could argue with me about not having stock tyres, in which case I'll go to my alloy guy, GET stock tyres and rims temporarily fitted, and go back to them. Then lets see what they say.

If Vitesse plays hardball with me, I'm more than happy to do the same with them. I'll lodge a complaint with MUL, informing them that if they won't address the issue, I'd be more than happy to write to some auto journo friends and tell them about the issue and MUL's / Vitesse's lack of customer service.
Then lets see what happens.

Hey Tush.

Nope, haven't head the time. It did, however, go back to the workshop, but not for this issue. Was out a couple of weeks ago at a friends bday dinner. Come out, and find that someone's scraped the front right fender and driven away. I can't even begin to describe how mad I was.
The dent wasn't bad, more of a heavy scrape really, but bad enough to have to go to the body shop.

Didn't want to deal with two issues at the same time, and thought it might overburden the capabilities of the 'talented' people at Vitesse, so I didn't bring up the issue.

Anyway, the car's back now, and to give the good folks at Vitesse their due, they've done a perfect repair job on the fender. Looks good as new.

Will let you know the moment something happens on this issue.

Make sure you keep track with the service station about left pulling. I was told by service territory manager that the factory has said that at every few meters(which i forgot) there is going to be some pulling on the left(i guess). Dont remember exactly what he said. But make sure before they even start doing anything tell them to consult with other service station if they have got similar issue as yours and what was done. Your involement has to be 100% at every step that they take and they should inform you of it. Contact the service territory manager and get him involved in the issue. Dont trust dealership engineers 100%.

And also make sure to resolve this issue, they dont do any modifications to any part of the car which is a proof in itself if they do, that the car is defective.

Well i dont want to scare you but i hope you have gone through the complete thread and are aware of my experiences.

I had the same issue with my Swift VXI ABS, Petrol. The car was steering to the left always when I take my hands off the steering. There was an issue with the shocks in the front. I got it resolved in Sai Service MASS, Funkewadi. If you want, I can give your details of the fix.
