My question is, do professional detailing and valeting services exist in india

1. to maintain that new look of the car.
2. to maintain that expensive leather interior.
3. to protect the paint work.

is it worth opening up such a professional detailing service centre is these dont exist in india?

cheers:

Hey! Sorry for bringing this up again, but I too was thinking of starting a car detailing venture up here in north. I think people are getting more passionate about their rides and do not mind spending 2-3000 bucks once in a while to keep them as good as new. I had a talk with this car detailing company called Carz Spa. They give out franchisee's but the cost of setting up one is quite huge IMO. The person quoted me around 10-12 Lakhs to start a car detailing franchisee. This included the cost of machinery and equipments and all training but the variable day to day raw materials would cost extra. For eg. all chemicals and materials used. What is your opinion regarding the same. I will be glad to have all your inputs in this regard.

Car Wash, Interior Cleaning & EXTERIOR polishing

In Mumbai,

I have personally tried out services like Car wash which costs around 600/-

Wax polishing & exterior treatment which ranges from 1000 to 3000 bucks depends on the type of ride you own. I got my alto done for 1000/- and my Ford endeavour done for 3000/-

Teflon done for 2000/-

They also offer door step service. and use only branded stuff (Turtle waxes, Armorall,3M) and many more.... So many imported brands I have never heard of.

PM me if you need more details. Trust me I have seen them do a very detailed work. UR RIDE WILL SPARLE FROM INDISE AND GLOW FROM OUTSIDE

Regards....

HAPPY Driving

Just used this guy again on my swift. Got the interior & exterior cleanup, interior polishing, pest control and exterior machine polish. Very good job. I had a strange problem, while parked outside my garage, some wet cement leaked onto my drivers side window making it impossible to see thru it at night. They used a special solution and machined the cement right off. I had earlier tried a lot to get it off. Job well done. Definitely recommend them.

I had a bad experience with Mr. Car Bath
I got my city's exteriors polised- it has a few paint spots all over, they did a good job at removing that and left the car shining well.
Made a biggggg mistake of getting my BMW's interiors cleaned by them. The chap that runs Mr. Car bath assured me of using top quality products for leather cleaning so I trusted him and went ahead. Went to check on the guys working on the interiors half way through and much to my dismay they were using petroleum based products
There was a strong petrol odour in the car and I warned them of it, they assured me that it would last for no more than an hour . They finished the job and the smell got only stronger, I couldn't bare to put the AC on while driving as the smell was too heady. I called up the owner and gave him a piece of my mind and told him I need to do a highway run early in the morning and there is no way I can survive with this smell. He arrived at my building at 6am (Must give him some credit for this professional step). I requested him to get some good quality conditioner as there was no point using the same products he already has, he landed up with the same products ! Obviously he could not do much, he assured me he will look into the matter and get it resolved. Later he called me and informed that his people had indeed spilled the petrolum based leather cleaner on my carpet which is causing the smell. Once again he assured me that within a week he will re-do the job with better quality solutions. Its been over a month and I haven't heard from him, even if i do hear from him, there is no way I would let them come close to my car as finally after 4 weeks the smell has gone.

Hi Guys

Just got my car Indica XETA 2006 teflon coated & Interior cleaning from St. Francis (Borivali West). The car looks well done but they have lost 2 of my mud flaps on the left hand side both front & rear wheel.

Paid 2100 (teflon) 550 (interior cleaning) 250 (wash) with taxes (3215), i was told that i can teflon done 1 more time in a years time!

I informed one Mr.Sunil and he said he will check and let me know. Bet he wont find them.

Does anyone know whats the cost of these mud flaps (indica v2) and where can I get them from in Mumbai from - on second thoughts should i replace all 4 if they come reasonable?

^^ I'll try Autovega this month and let you guys know! I don't see them having branches anywhere else.

Pune-ites, I've finished reading this ENTIRE thread and there's no comprehensive answer about reliable work in Pune - apart from the uber-expensive Bike&CarSalon!

Can any Pune-ite respond? I'm looking at completely new look for both interior and exterior for the pre-owned car am purchasing - there are no dents on the car.

Cheers!

Try at Rider's point straight ahead from St. Francis, opp. the Jain temple on S.V.Road.(After the skylab flyover)
Should cost some 300/400I guess.
