I got it done 3 weeks back. There is no guarantee for 3M car polish. I go for 3M polish every 6 months. I doubt whether it is worth the amount, next time I have decided to try a normal polish job.

I have not heard about glass coating. But teflon coating and polishing are different.

My understanding: Teflon coating just gives an additional transparent coating/ glaze to the car. Usually done when the car is new. Not recommended in Team-BHP as any minor scratch will be on the teflon coating and not on the car paint.

The main difference between polishing and waxing is that polishing removes minor imperfections on the paint. Waxing is a final finish job where as polishing removes a minor coat of paint and give car a new look.
Reference :The difference between car polish and wax.

Professional Detailing Services

We as Indians are getting new and expensive cars being launched now and then.

My question is, do professional detailing and valeting services exist in india

1. to maintain that new look of the car.
2. to maintain that expensive leather interior.
3. to protect the paint work.

is it worth opening up such a professional detailing service centre is these dont exist in india?

cheers:

You could try a guy called Kaviraj , I used to use him a for my cars when I was in Pune , his mobile no is 9822081669. Does a fairly good job ..

Although I have not tried them , you could also try bike and car saloon ( 9870222663) , they come to your house and do all the work , expensive though .. let us know how it works out ..

If you want something top-grade, try the carandbikesalon. They have a base in Pune but are very expensive.

Just checked their website, prices range from Rs3500 to Rs15000.
Question is are they worth it?
Who is next best in Pune and how much do they charge?
Thanks

You can try using Amway shampoo + Silicon glaze to give a showroom shine. I mainly use for my SX4 as most of the time parked outside and during rains water done not accumulate. Just it drips off so no water mark etc. Silicon glaze is a good product. Shine last for 6 to 7 weeks easily
