Team-BHP - Expanding cracks on my Hyundai Tucson dashboard

Hello members,
I own a Tucson 2.0 CrDi AT. Clocked 70k kms till date. Purchased in Jan 2016.
Generally trouble free and no major issues, however, since about a year now I have noticed cracks appreaing on the soft part of the dash (Photos attached).
The frst time i noticed it was after i got the car back from the ASS post replacement of AC condenser coil. At that point it was just a small crack on the right side corner near the windscreen. I ignored it thinking that perhaps someone had accidently cut the soft part with a fine blade. Over time have noticed this propogating and now spreading quite rapidly.
Has anyone faced this issue ? I really dont know what to do about it. When I asked the ASS they told me that its because of expsorue to sunlight. I find it strange that in a INR 20+ lakh car considered that its a premium car this should happen. !!
The car is out of extended warranty so Im worried tthat it would cost a BOMB to have it replaced. To me it appears more as material failure and Hyundai must replce this free of cost.
Suggestions on action to be taken would be most welcome
