CVT: Continually variable transmission. This is a type of automatic transmission where a belt and a pair of pulleys (commonly) allow an infinite number of gear ratios to be used. CVTs are what drive Kinetic Hondas, Novas, Activas and all these little bugs on our roads! There have been a few cars that have also utilized CVT.

AT: Automatic transmission. A system where users do not have to select the gears, the gearbox automatically chooses it. Common AT systems for 4 wheelers use hydraulics.

eRLX: An engine technology/system used in current generation Hyundai Santros.

Thanks Arun for the details and reference.

Also I would like to know, with respect to Driving aspects whether AT and CVT differ or both are similar.
