RC book contains what our Lazy police enter. They have mentioned only year!

In my RC Book (infact CARD) both month and year is showing.

Thanks for that updae Sheelz. May be now TATA Started using N for representing NOVEMBER. It would be interesting to see what will be the code for DECEMEBER 2010. (May be D)

I was going thro the original invoice of my Palio SDX. Got some info which might be of some interest here. Exact description given is:

"Product Code: (F100171886089A816) - 17188F051 - Palio 5 door hatchback - Right hand drive, Rear safety belt Coloured bumpers, 1248CC Bharat3 diesel engine, 5speed transmission, 5 (165/80 SR13) tyres, 816 - Body finished in Infinity Black colour, 89A4B - Factory fitted AC & Power steering......"

Does the product code give more info in addition to the VIN?
Do you think '816' is the body colour code?

Sorry No information available through the product code. Yes you are right 816 represents the Infinity Black Color.

The VIN Sticker can be found at the rear left quarter glass and the complete Chassis Number with Month code can be found on the floor under the drivers seat. for more refer page 46 of this thread.
