Finding the VIN & manufacturing date/year on Indian cars

With all the data from this thread ive managed to decode the VIN no of my new sleek silver i20 to be July 2010 which seems to be a good deal. I didnt really expect it to be from this month itself. Taking delivery tomorrow. Thanks Wildon and others for all the information shared here.

Its manufactured on 17.07.2010. I don't have enough samples of VW VIN's. So cant say anything now about the characters you have mentioned.

I refered the VIN de-coding document and it said it is a July 2010 model. Could you please verify and confirm this is correct?
