I just verified this, as per the available details the color code mentioned for this vehicle is GT (Gold Topaz). May be there is a mistake somewhere.

Check underneath the Hood/bonnet there will be a two digit number like M9 or something apart from the 17 digit above mentioned VIN number (MA3FKEB2S00182731) and that represents the month/year

How do we differentiate a 2009 from 2010 in the VIN number of mahindra scorpio? I don't have the VIN yet , will post it here as soon as i get it.

need some urgent assistance on decoding the VIN No. for my recently booked Ford Fiesta. I have booked in the month of Jan 2010 (forgoing the hefty discount in the month of Dec 09) hence do not want to be palmed off with an older vehicle.

Here is nice piece of info given by SPIKE ARRESTOR about Mahindra Vehicle.

Commonly most manufacturer uses A for representing 2010. Please do check your VIN once you get it.

OT-The height of chassis no. punching usually varies between 6-7mm
