Bproauto: Stellantis' new affordable parts brand for old cars in America

Stellantis, the automotive conglomerate, has launched a new auto parts brand to sit below its Mopar brand. The new auto parts brand is called Bproauto. It will offer affordable car parts at prices less than OEM costs.

Bproauto is said to offer a wide variety of car parts, not only across brands under the Stellantis family but also most other domestic and imports. Some parts currently available in Bproauto's portfolio include batteries, brake pads & rotors, oils & filters, and hub bearings. Parts like shocks, starters & alternators, brake calipers, fuel injectors and many others are expected to become available sometime later this year.

These aftermarket auto parts from Bproauto will come with a two-year, unlimited mileage warranty.

Mike Koval, Head of Mopar North America, stated, “While Mopar will remain the global original-equipment parts and authentic accessories brand for Stellantis, Bproauto will offer an alternative for nearly all brands and all cars – new, used, owned, rented or shared.” Koval further added, “With Mopar and Bproauto, our dealerships offer a 360-degree, multi-brand, one-stop-shop solution for nearly all customers, all vehicles and all brands.”

That's a terrible brand name. Why not have a name that rolls easily of the tongue like their main brand Mopar. Just 'proauto' itself could be better.

We will see. Parts availability for my 1998 Jeep Cherokee is ok-ish. Could be better. The only reason it’s ok-ish is because OEM supplier have moved in as Mopar is terrible when it comes to parts for older cars. Not sure why their B-brand would be doing better than their own A brand?

I don’t understand that strategy at all. What does it say about Mopar parts? To expensive, you don’t need that good quality?

Our marketing guys always hated me. They always come up with these crazy schemes and can’t even answer the most elementary question.

I suppose they are trying to replicate success enjoyed by Brembo with their budget sister brand Bybre. Both are decent brakes, just the materials used by brembo are more premium and used in more expensive cars. Bybre is become oem for many brands in Asia where cost cutting is key requirement.
