Sorry for the late reply.

Unfortunately a big no. The connected car features of Tata - the iRA is factory built. So no way to enable in other variants which don't have the necessary hardware built in the car. But You having the XZA+ (S) should have iRA. Despite it being a hit and miss, it is good have something from OEM. If you are in market for GPS trackers, i've located few. Will try to update on them in some time.
No worries and thanks for the reply.

I also spoke to the service center in detail and understood that most of the iRA features (e.g. GPS tracking and the Connected Car Technology) are not available in the XZA+S variant. They are available only in the XZA+OS variant. The information in the website also confirms the same.

However, these features can be enabled later. One needs to buy the iRA equipment - i.e. a "box" which will be fitted below the driver's seat - for around INR 25K from the service center (they will get it from Tata and it takes 7 to 10 days to arrive from Pune) and pay the yearly subscription fees.

IMO, this was too expensive - so I bought a OneLap device and it is performing well as a GPS tracker (which was my main requirement).

Hi anand_roy,

Okay great to hear that you have taken the seperate GPS tracker from outside. Even i'm frustrated by the iRA's usage. Planning to have an alternate as a backup as the iRA data is totally unreliable at times. How is the usage feedback of OneLap. I'm debating OneLap, Mappls, Hero GPS trackers. Want to go with the one with high reliability and less wire cuts.
