Re: Customer tells Skoda : Take back my Kushaq

Isnt ABS sensor one of the most frequently failing parts on earlier Skoda's too. Would be surprising if they have not localized this part, or kept them in stock, as these are so often changed in their earlier cars. Almost all FNGs have some stock of the sensor and you would also find them on Amazon.
And finding that an ABS sensor issue should not take 3 days. It would just be as much as reading the error code to find that its a sensor failure.
If this is the way things are in Skoda 2.0, I am afraid, the earlier version, no matter how horrible, seems better.

Re: Customer tells Skoda : Take back my Kushaq

I don't know if the ABS module is having the issue or the Wheel Speed sensor.

It would have been better if the service center had shared the error codes to the customer.

Please see below video from ECU TESTING for more details:

Re: Customer tells Skoda : Take back my Kushaq

The recurring issue in all such posts is the owner wanting to leave their vehicle at the dealer and get their money back. Please for god’s sake don’t. You aren’t guilting them into finding a solution by letting them stare at your vehicle every day. If anything it’s going to sit at the back of an open yard gathering dust, rodent bites and just keep degrading in general. Plus in the event things don’t go your way, you’ll not even have a vehicle in saleable condition to recover some costs.

Re: Customer tells Skoda : Take back my Kushaq

Very unfortunate situation you and your family members had to gone through, I request you to have another vehicle ready just in case your sister needs an impromptu visit to the hospital, don't trust the Honda for the emergency.

I don't understand which university Skoda people graduated from?

Most of the companies run pillar to post to find out what is going wrong with there product or how they can improve things. So many people have written to Skoda in Black and White that improve your service/dealer network yet year after year its been more than one and a half decade the problem statement remains the same "THE DEALER NETWORK". They have a good product but poor and shoddy after sales network.

Re: Customer tells Skoda : Take back my Kushaq

What an absolute nightmare for any customer. Being sold a lemon is bad enough, but having to deal with incompetent service levels just takes the experience to an another level. Usually, a marketing angle called '2.0' represents an upgraded sense of ownership experience with the product, but this seems to be a regression for the brand by all accounts.

The below issues which the OP faced, don't seem hallmark of a good product.

1. Car rattling noise
2. Driver side power window not working at all
3. Screeching noise when the brakes are released
4. High vibration when the engine is idling

Of the above issues 1,2 is almost prevalent in each of their India specific 2.0 cars. These cars are also nearly 2 years old now, yet there is no resolution. Only dealer network isn't a problem. The company needs to change it's attitude towards Indian buyers.

Like a few BHPians posted above, people investing in Skoda/VW cars know what they are getting into. I feel like every week there is an article or describing the woes the 2.0 VW/SKoda owners are facing.

Are these cars 5 star rated because of the reason that mostly these would be benched in service centres? Not on road so no accident, full safety.

Everytime when a car is delivered from the factory to the dealer showroom/Yard, some adjustments and installations are to be required to be required at the dealer's end. IMO most of the issues faced by OP are/can be related to that like rattling noise can be coming from some plastic item the dealer forget to remove, the plastic covering and other loose items to be checked/installed by the dealer.

Most vw2.0 owners are complaining of rattles. Still blame the dealership?

A brand new car visits dealership means its primarily a SKODA issue. The poor quality of the car forced OP to send his car to dealership. The issues with service support/Loaner support is a secondary issue arises due to dealership apathy.

I suggest OP to get car repaired and enjoy. If he don't want association with Skoda, sell the car, its still new. Get a New Honda city Hybrid at the similar cost- complete peace of mind, nice mileage and solid reliability considering his remote location.

Re: Customer tells Skoda : Take back my Kushaq

This is the dealership's fault, if the vehicle is facing manufacturing issues, then it's the dealership who is responsible for making sure that the vehicle is attended and inform the same to the higher officials. Giving a proper loaner car is also the dealership's responsibility.

It's always advisable to reaserch about the dealership and service centre of the brand you are buying a car from, irrespective of how well known the brand is for its after sales services are.

Re: Customer tells Skoda : Take back my Kushaq

Hi everyone,
This is unfortunate and not acceptable. The options here are limited.
1) Repair and decide what to do, keep or sell
2) Legal route, will take time

The loaner car given by the dealer took me by surprise. Simply not acceptable. Looks like the dealer has changed the motto from simply clever to simply cunning. I think Skoda should take responsibility and compensate the people involved to prevent further agony. Hopefully, there will be a positive response.

Regards

I own a Vento, most of my friends own Skoda/VW 2.0 batch cars, there grievances are mostly related to the dealer. They are happy with the car not the dealer. I could be wrong.

Is it? Would request the admins to create a Poll for owners of the VAG 2.0 cars if they are not happy with the car ownership. I know this will not help much but atleast draw the correct picture.

I don't see so much participation when Kia/Hyundai brake fade issue happens, their DCTs start over-heating, rusting happens in a Honda, new Honda City 5th Gen rattles, etc.
