Tata Nexon at dealership for repairs | Got "Vehicle Intrusion Alert" message

I have Nexon XZA+O, currently at service center for repairs (insurance claim).

Today afternoon was supposed to be insurance survey. (KHT Motors).

Yesterday morning and today afternoon I have got SMS as below

*Vehicle Intrusion AlertYour vehicle MAT******* has been intruded. Pls attend to your vehicle - Tata Motors.

I called up their representative today he told me today they were dismantling some parts, which might have caused the alarm. That doesn't explain how I got similar alert yesterday though.

Anyway, point of this post is to ask the knowledgeable members here about how do the intrusion alert systems work (in TATA cars), whether they can be disabled/worked around, are they really useful.

Sorry I couldn't find similar thread, if found, move my post there.

It's at the authorised dealer for repairs, so I wouldn't worry too much about it. Removing body panels & parts could trigger off multiple sensors. You could visit and check your car out in person sometime (I always do when its body-shop repairs).

It's like a patient getting admitted for treatment to a hospital. All sorts of tests (the more the merrier for many hospitals) are undertaken before coming out with the diagnosis of the illness.

If we had body sensors or chips attached these would also trigger similar alarms. And if the sensor monitor was at home and a family member would be admitted, such alarms would create worries for all family members including the tiny tots to the aged ones.

If any work is being carried out on electricals or involves removing or refitting some sensors, wouldn't it be prudent to first disconnect the battery ? In such a case, would the alerts be still sent out?

I would be very paranoid seeing such alerts; but the silver lining is that the system is working as expected!!
