My pre-worshipped Honda City | Noisy brakes and other issues

Hello everyone

Issue no.1-

My recently purchased 68k driven 2016 City iVTEC has been making a "ceeeee" type noise whenever I apply brakes and I'm clueless about it's cause.

When I first took the car to a trusted nearby workshop (Mohali Moto in Mohali sector 82) a few weeks ago, they changed it's brake pads to Hella ones and the noise vanished but it slowly came back after the car was driven for 50-60km post the brake pad replacement.

Last week, I took the car back to the workshop, they resurfaced the brake rotors and replaced the brake pads but this time again the noise vanished and came back when I drove the car after leaving it parked for 3-4 days. The workshop guy has now recommended me to get new genuine Honda brake pads and rotors as he thinks that the current rotors might be unbranded.

Explaining the sound, it is not there for a few kilometers but as the car is driven for longer time, it is heard occasionally and gets common enough with higher travelled distance. Also, it is loud enough to be heard 20-30 meters away from the car and is only there under normal braking (no sound is heard under hard braking)

Can anyone suggest what could be causing the noise?

Issue no.2-
Security alarm of the car working only with the driver side door.

The security alarm of the car goes off only when the driver side door is opened with the key. If the doors are opened from the inside or the boot is opened with the key while the car is locked, the alarm does not go off although it should. What could be the problem here?

1) Moly or TVS Girling brake grease where the brake pads mate or seat on the calliper assembly should get rid of the noise. Also get the calliper pins removed and cleaned, re greased.

2) have you checked the wiring to the door solenoids, door open sensor from the central locking unit to the door? That's where the problem lies in all probability. They can remove and check by 2 wires mimicking the door open signal.

Does the car have after market or non OEM discs and pads? Usually this won t happen if your car has OEM Honda discs and pads. Six years back I bought a used Nissan Altima in the US and the used car dealership had installed brand new but after market pads - they made that exact noise on gentle braking. No noise on hard braking. Had it checked at Nissan and also Firestone. Both assured me its just harmonics of the non OEM pads - not to worry about it. It went away after about 1.5 years and around 20K miles of driving. Once the pads wore out, I got the discs and pads changed with OEM parts and the noise remained history.
