Ford Endeavour | ESP failure after 30k service

I own a 3.2 endeavour for 2 years . Recently sent it to service for 30000 kms. Was trouble free for 2 years . After servicing the car didn't start with esc failure, and hill descent failure in the display. They did some software redo and wiring check . The car moved ok for 1000 kilometers and the error occurred again. Switched off the car and restarted , the error disappeared. Again the same error after 2 days. Sent the car again to service centre, they changed a wire . Car went smoothly for 500 kms and again the same error. Goes off after restarting. The car sent to service centre day before yesterday but no error found yet . Any suggestions

Sandeep - Check this thread. Read post number 7(Read the full thread to understand the similar problem and potential solutions) and see if that's something you can ask the service guys to check for the same. This is for a ford truck and it shouldn't be different for your endeavor.

After getting an endeavor my time is spent more on these forums and had come across this last week while checking for an engine light issue(MAF sensor).

Re: Ford Endeavour | ESP failure after 30k service

Could be a multitude of reasons, including the ESP board failure, sensor, wire, rat damage or...believe or not, a weak battery! I recently saw a christmas tree on my dashboard which was nailed down to low voltage from a weak battery (full thread report (Low voltage situations & weak batteries | The bane of German cars)).

Hope your car is still under warranty and you've taken the extended warranty package.

It seems like a battery issue. Go to an authorized battery shop (not service center) and do a complete battery health check. A weak battery can also cause these errors. On the other hand, what wire did the service center change ? Did they provide details?

It's under warranty . The battery double checked. No fault. They have replaced the fuse junction box. Let's hope for the best

They refused the battery junction box. Gave the car back. 2 days it was ok. Again the same problem. Battery was ok.

The battery was ok as per them; they changed the battery junction box. Drove ok for 3 days. The problem recurred. Since the problem occurred right after servicing. Moisture related damage looks to be the cause?

It could be possible as both my Superb and Vento threw up ABS/ESP errors when the wheel sensors were on their way out and/or were affected by moisture. Got them replaced for all 4 wheels and never saw the same issue again.

Please get the wheel sensors checked once as well
