It's the first wake up nudge that takes ages. The provider in the US was Verizon Wireless, which had quite a vast coverage due to the CDMA base.

Not sure if it is RF based but certainly there on the new Creta (and Alcazar too). Replaces the alarm button on the standard 4-button Hyundai Key.

In Bluelink India's case every command does take atleast 10 mins, even after you 'wake' the system up.

Re: Hyundai Bluelink | Owner experiences & issues

Yet another issue crops up this morning.
None of the Vehicle Health Report is available now except the past one month. All the previous monthly reports have gone blank for reasons best known to Hyundai only. The usual simplest hack of uninstall-switch off-switch on- reinstall has failed to work and bring data back.
As mentioned above by fellow members, the renewal is going to be an extremely tricky task. In case more features are not unlocked for Venue diesel owners like remote start/stop and climate control, it doesn't makes sense to pay similar amount like a DCT owner and then get shortchanged by getting lesser number of benefits.
And as for the hopeless and extremely poor service, instead of Hyundai charging customer, customer should be paid some incentive for being a part of hit and trial experiment.

Re: Hyundai Bluelink | Owner experiences & issues

I am a Security engineer and a bug bounty hunter where I look for issues on website and apps, I found one issue on KIA website at the beginning of last year where I was able to get into anyone's account just by knowing their mobile number which they used during the signup. Though that issue is fix now but I see a huge concern here.

I think it is best to avoid any connected car as of now, especially cars which has door lock/unlock, engine start mechanism, there are so many serious concern in using technology like this if it is not secure enough, look at Tesla, even they have bug bounty program and lot of bugs get reported, and I don't see Hyundai and Kia are running any security program which encourages people to report resposnibly any security bug.
I hope companies realize this soon, test and fix their issues with in time.

This is quite a serious issue as we will irreversibly move towards connected tech. Thanks for sharing.

I am not saying companies should not move in this direction but then keep some budget to improve and reward researchers for security issues.

Look at Tesla (https://bugcrowd.com/tesla), they pay a lot to keep their devices secure. Automotive industry needs to buckle up before even thinking of connected cars else it can be catastrophic.

Companies have been cutting corners around these concerns and are more involved in bringing updated features on the connected car front. It's not just Kia/Hyundai but luxury brands such as Audi and many others have turned a blind eye towards the security concerns.

My uncle got his Audi A6 hacked via connected car tech in the US, the robber drove away the car and crashed it in a remote area. To make matters worse, insurance company denied the claim stating that connected car tech robberies are not covered under the policy at that time!

PS: My Venue SX+ DCT Sports got delivered a month ago and have observed on multiple occasions that Bluelink is not trustworthy and sucks!

Re: Hyundai Bluelink | Owner experiences & issues

Hello guys
Its been 2-3 days and whenever I open bluelink, it asks me to sign in and whenever I sign in it shows incorrect email or password but as I saved the login id and password I am sure it’s not wrong.
I faced this issue once earlier too but after few minutes, the app opened and showed all details.
Can anyone tell me a fix or is it bound to stay like this?

Anyone checked out updated Bluelink App? Things look better now, with cleaner UI and bit faster loading.

Re: Hyundai Bluelink | Owner experiences & issues

Can anyone tell me what the highlighted icon means for Bluelink of Hyundai Venue DCT under 'Status' tab ?

it says Lamp=Normal , while car is parked with engine off , locked and all lights off including cabin lamp.

Rest of the icons are greyed out as expected but this one is glowing.

Tried asking the same to bluelink helpline but they have no clue what i was talking about , as expected

Thank You.

Re: Hyundai Bluelink | Owner experiences & issues

I've been trying to connect my car with Blulink app. It's been more than a week now with no success..

Keeps throwing this message:
Import request failed because the network connection of this car is unstable.

I've tried this in open areas as well with strong network signals but it does not work. Anyone faced a similar issue earlier?

Re: Hyundai Bluelink | Owner experiences & issues

I have i20 (new 2020 model). I can start the car and also switch off with app.
But car doesn't start if my doors are open. Car doesn't open the doors if my car is switched on through app.
Just want to understand if I can drive the car without key while operating through bluelink app.

Has Hyundai published what will be the Bluelink subscription charges after the initial 3 years are over?

Due to this exact reason, it is not possible to drive the vehicle without the keys. It's sort of a deadlock situation. The remote start feature is primarily for remote climate control functionality.

Re: Hyundai Bluelink | Owner experiences & issues

I have a Creta SX IVT 2021 model which has low line TPMS. I don't see any option for tyre pressure in the bluelink app. One time I had a flat tyre but nothing showed up in bluelink so wondering if this feature is not available or I am missing something. Please share your feedback.

Re: Hyundai Bluelink | Owner experiences & issues

I am trying to register for Bluelink and it is activated on my Alcazar.
But when I am trying to register it on my Phone app I am facing issues.

It asks to verify the registration link on my email but I am not getting any email for verification. This has been the same for one week now and not sure how can I get it resolved.
I am using Gmail and have also checked the junk folder.

In the latest version of app, there is no option to register using mobile or google account.

On my Alcazar, TPMS would not show readings unless the car is moving. This may be the reason why it is not supported from Bluelink, Can you check it when the car is moving
