Problem in VW Jetta | ABS & TC warning lights displaying

I got this request from my nephew, residing in Bangalore, regarding problems on his VW Jetta, 2015 / Comfortline model.
Quote:

My Jetta was all fine till I sent it to get serviced last year. A few days after it came back. I found the ABS and Traction Control lights come on. I called up VW who took it back and said it was due to some faulty sensors and they replaced it. I don’t know if they understood it correctly or did it correctly but even now, I intermittently face it. Its erratic, sometimes right after cranking or sometimes 10-15 mins into cruising. I then thought it was due to an aging battery and even put in a new battery in case it wasn’t supplying enough to the harness but to no avail.

Am not sure what to do now.
Attaching a screen shot of the error.
All inputs are welcome.
Thanks in advance.

Most likely ABS sensors at the hub are failing one after the other, usually inexpensive part to replace but will need a scan tool to figure out which one.

Had the same issue with my Jetta. Most likely sensors. Will cost you around 4K.

Wheel speed sensors/ABS Sensors are the probable culprit. Till date, I have changed those 5 times. It's a common issue with mk6 Jetta, after the 6 year mark.

It could be the sensor or the ABS module.

Are you sure they replaced the speed sensor or just cleared the fault code?

Firstly Make sure to check which side ABS sensor was replaced by the service centre via the invoice
Send your car again to them and see what the fault code reads.

These sensors on VW/Skodas keep failing after 3-4 years of ownership, I suggest from my experience to replace the other three for peace of mind.

Very common problem with ALL German cars. In my family & friends circle, there is pretty much every German brand represented, from VW to Mercedes and Skoda to BMW. There is no car that hasn't had the ABS sensors replaced after 2 - 3 years of ownership. Some unlucky few have had the full ABS / ESP module fail too (including yours truly).
