Thank you very much.

In the case of my car's seatbelt, it stopped going back in. Even trying to forcefully push it back in was without success.

In that case, yes you are right, mostly we have to replace. Before you replace please ask service centre guy to check if it can be fixed. If the spring which pulls it back is cut then we need to replace. If it just some simple obstruction like twisted belt etc they can fix it. Though the latter scenario is highly unlikely.

The seatbelt which is a little slow. I will try and clean it up next weekend.

Thanks for the video.

Missed this thread.

We are absolutely satisfied with the local authorised service centre, here in Noida. And no problems faced with spare till now. So, all good.

My Beat with 179,000 on Odo went to recent camp service and I availed 20% discount on parts. Find the invoice below.

I got this sms few times and the last one came this morning.

I don't necessarily need to take my 17 years young car for service but I find some issue while filling up the registration form.

My car is in Dehradun and their service centre is showing Haldwani.
This essentially means that I need to drive more than 500km (to and fro) to get my car serviced.

This, of course doesn’t make sense.

There have been no problems with respect to service centers or spares after Chevy's decision to stop selling in India.

If I remember correctly the Chevy service camp is conducted once every quarter. It offers discounts on spare parts as well as labour.

[quote]Good aftersales service for a period of 15 years after the first registration date is regulatory requirement [quote]

Is there any document available supporting the regulation. Being a Ford owner, was curious to go through it . Somehow Couldn't find that. Can you please share the link . Thnx.....

Chevy Sail UVA - Spares Shortage

Hi Folks,

I'm as new as a newborn baby here on the platform and would really need your guidance.

I own a SAIL UVA petrol, it's a second-hand car which I bought from an online car platform, the car came with one year warranty and it has been almost a hassle-free ownership for ~18 months

Tensioner Pulley

In a recent servicing, I got to know that the tensioner of the car needs to be changed, I got that order through Trident Chevrolet in Bangalore but when the car got opened for replacing the tensioner pulley it was found that the bracket also needs a replacement

Broken Bracket

Now finding the bracket has become a 'finding fanny' kind of adventure:surface
The GM doesn't have it in stock, Boodmo has been sitting on the order for 15 days and says they are trying to source it

desperate me did some research ( visual ) and believe the tensioner bracket of Beat Petrol and Sail UVA petrol looks to be very same and might solve my problem because that bracket is available with GM and Boodmo

1. Listed for SAIL UVA
https://boodmo.com/catalog/part-bracket_gen-38464772/
2. Listed for Beat Petrol - 1
https://boodmo.com/catalog/part-bracket_gen-39693305/
3. Listed for Beat Petrol - 2
https://boodmo.com/catalog/part-bracket_gen-38467114/

I tried confirming it with the mechanics but they aren't very sure of it,
is there someone here who faced a similar problem and if you could pls suggest a way forward from here pls _/\_

For cars that have stopped production, your best bet is to be best friends with aftermarket parts suppliers. I have a Fiat Palio 1.6 Sports myself and love the car. I have the same issue and I have a 5-10 phone numbers to call incase I get stuck with a part issue.

Sure @dhanushs trying that too, but no luck yet - Boodmo just moved the expected delivery day again
Now I have requested Shiva @ trident Chevrolet to order the bracket of Beat Petrol and we would give it a try - wish me luck

What did Shiva say? He won't be able to get that for UVA? He's normally a very helpful guy as I knew.

Indeed he is a very helpful one, He did try to get for UVA but the company doesn't have inventory so he is unable to get it

To him also the bracket of Beat Petrol looks similar to UVA so he has agreed to give it a try!

I was just wondering if any other UVA owners tried using Beat spares / the bracket or Any pro on chevy spares among us who could help answer this

If you have already sourced the tensioner, you may as well fabricate the bracket in a machine shop. Will be done in one day. Worth the few hundred extra bucks.
