Re: Rumour: AutoCop shutting down its business in India

I have been trying to reach out to Autocop for power windows from autocop installed in my Santro Xing.

Their numbers are not reachable. It seems they have indeed shut down.

If anyone has any updated contact number, please do share.

Don't know who can fix the Autocop power windows for my car now.

tanwaramit, have you checked with Kar-Age, car accessories fellow in Rajouri? They were one of the authorised dealers of autocop products from what I remember.

Re: Rumour: AutoCop shutting down its business in India

Thanks for the tip, my car is yet to get new number plate and hence stays outside Delhi borders. Will see how to get this done (may be from Sec 18 shops in Noida).

Re: Rumour: AutoCop shutting down its business in India

Wanted to share a quick update on the Autocop support numbers for Kolkata. I finally got the service done in my car thanks to a person who earlier used to work officially for Autocop. He provides support with all original parts of Autocop and as per their official charges. The contact number of the person is 7890372208 and his WhatsApp number is 9163388323. This guy only provides service in and around Kolkata. Hope this helps someone in need.

Re: Rumour: AutoCop shutting down its business in India

In my opinion autocop is still functioning. My recent experience with autocop is detailed below.

After COVID first wave, I was enquiring auto accessory shops to install remote locking module in my humble 2007 Alto lxi. In March 2021, I installed autocop XS remote locking full kit manufactured in November 2020 with three years warranty.

Initially I was reluctant to go with autocop after reading this thread but the accessory shop (reputed one in pondicherry) assured that Autocop is functioning and spares are easily available here. He even told that they are facing service issues with other brands such as pricol, xenos and its better to go with Autocop.

Icing on the cake was the gentleman who did the installation was from Autocop. He assured that autocop is functioning normally and there will be no problems for my warranty claims/ parts.

Hope this serves as a value addition.

Guys, I have a defunct Autocop trackpro GPS tracker in my car, I paid the company about Rs 2000 for AMC of the SIM in 2019, however, got no response from them. That means the system itself and the AMC charges totalling about Rs 9000 is defunct for the past two years.

Frankly when the Autocop stopped responding, I couldn't take out time to chase them. Yesterday, after almost 2 years, I was at an accessories shop and asked them whether the same can be repaired in any way and, the shopowner told me that there is no way since the company has shut down.

Has anyone figured out the way to keep this system working like changing to a new SIM etc ?

May I know whose contact details are these?

Re: Rumour: AutoCop shutting down its business in India

Interesting thread!

I am using Autocop Trackpro device on my Scorpio S10 AT 2016.
I was trying to download my last month's reports and discovered that the site is not working!

Luckily, this thread answers part of my confusion.

So - dear experts - what do you suggest that I should do?

Should I put another unit? What is a good option?

I like the fact that my family can see where I am. However, now Google Maps location sharing does a better job - at no additional cost!

Anyway, for safety sake I would like to have a tracker and immobilizer for my Scorpio.

In my Honda Jazz I have a Honda Connect device (I think it is from Minda).

By the way, I prefer a facility available in Pune.

Thanking you in advance,

Girish Mahajan

I accidentally got some additional information:

It seems they have changed the business model.
However, they are doing some of the older business too.

You can check out:
http://autocopservice.com/services-5.html

Now I will contact them to see what they advice.

Girish Mahajan

Confusing!

None of the numbers on the site are active!
I will send email and see....

I actually got a response from mohan@autocop.in
Additionally, the website for accessing my information is working fine too!

So, they may be in trouble, but at least not dead!

I am keeping my fingers crossed.

My Autocop XS rear right power window conked off today in Bangalore. I was unsure if it was a switch or wiring issue .

I called up Abbu (98451 54369) after reading up Autocop Bangalore service reviews on Google and took my vehicle to Jayanagar 3rd Block for checkup.

He was able to fix up the issue quickly at a very reasonable price.

Autocop has closed shop in Bangalore and Abbu, being an ex-employee, is flying the service flag helping poor souls like us.

Hope this post is helpful for car owners in Bangalore, who have installed Autocop power windows as an after market accessory.

Re: Rumour: AutoCop shutting down its business in India

Dear IamGetz,

Very interesting feedback!

Is it possible to check up with him and get a small feedback - is it worth keeping the installed products?

OR - should I replace with some thing newer and better?

Thanking you in advance,

Girish Mahajan

I did have a chat with him on the same issue considering I face a similar dilemma.

His feedback was that faults upto 85 percent can be rectified. He highlighted new key fobs are provided, faulty switches can be replaced, wiring and alarm rectified etc.

His recommendation was unless the fault is fatal, rectification services are provided prolonging life of existing Autocop unit.

An inherent bias in his feedback can be assumed.

However based on my personal experience, I intend to continue with my existing Autocop XS unit till it dies a natural death.

Hope this helps.
