baud rate in ISO is usually kept at 9600.

worked!

Its Aaaliiiiveeee (Frankensteinstyle) ,ok kinda alive, thanks to dadu and ask777's suggestions i got atleast 4 sensors responding via obd. Used digimoto and elm 327.Now i need to find how to get the data off other sensors and also configure it to work in centrafuse's obd (help on the same is desperately required). Attached below are screen shots.

It seems that they use very few sensors and a very basic ECU diagnostics software in the T.A.S.S. Btw, which protocol finally worked ??

Yesterday I received my OBD scanner based on ELM 327 chip.
I am using Scantool.net freeware along with it and it is connecting fine at 38400 baud (does not connect at 9600 baud).
I get all the readings on my Civic but to make any useful analysis I need to log them.

Can anyone recommend a freeware software for data logging for ELM 327 at 38400 baud? (Most software I downloaded did not support/had not option for 38400 baud)

For some reason I was also not able to connect thru Digimoto lite (I guess default baud rate of 9600 is the culprit).
NC1BAD, can you tell me where do you set baud rate in Digimoto, there seems to be no option?

hi,dadu and ask77 are experts here, search for digimoto 403 or 4.03 version on google. Its the full version of digimoto, or search for proscan, any of these will work,i tried it in my civic , i get good readings, even calculates fuel consumption etc!
the only problem i found in civic's obd port is the location and the cables dont firmly lock into the port.

Eobd

hey dadu, used your advice and tried an EOBD software: Engine Check. They were kind enough to send me a lite edition of the software. Only readings it picked up was the error codes and battery. I think EOBD may be the way, will research more on the same

thanks nc1bad, is Digimoto and Proscan free?

The digimoto lite 1.06 I downloaded is evaluation version and the baudrate is disabled defaulted only to 9600. This is not able to connect to Civic.

Proscan is asking for a serial no to connect to the vehicle.

HI,not yet in CF, safari isnt OBD freindly, different softwares give readings from various sensors, like digimoto gives me reading of air temp and coolant temp, whereas Engine check gives me only battery and engine check light readings,I doing more research on the same. CF shows connected but there are no readings as of now.
About swift's protocol, no idea yet

mybe you can experiment with baud rate by changing the baudrate of the com port itself that can be done thru control panel -> system -> device manager -> hardware -> com port -> properties and then changing the baud rate

My interface ELM327v1.2a works only on 38400 baud.
I was able to connect vis ProScan now wondering what all I can do with it.

Is there any option of logging data in ProScan?

Does thios ELM327 work on Swift ZXi models?
I saw some pictures of fuel efficiency posted by st7677 of his Civic today. Seems interesting.

What software comes along with this tool?
