re: The fuel additives thread

Hello, when I bought my Indigo eCS eLX, I asked a service advisor at Concorde (Dairy Circle) whether I should be adding System D from the first fuel fill. He advised me that it is recommended to add System D after 5000 kms.

I am not sure about this. So, request your thoughts on this. Is it advisable to add System D to my car's diet before 5000 kms? Thanks.

@Arka, System-D is typically helps by cleaning the injectors. Your car being brand new, the injectors will be clean and hence may not help much at this time.

Swift P: 50 - can't notice a difference, maybe slightly smoother. Running Mobil 1 synthetic engine oil.

Accord AT: 65K - very noticeable difference - engine becomes less audible at high revs. Running mineral engine oil.

Recently noticed that Petrol Pumps which sell the Iftex bottles now also sell Iftex Sachets. Saw this at the Lotus Petrol Pump in Andheri (W)

Guys. Is it safe to use System-G for my 2002 Palio S10 which has run just 15k till now?
Someone here mentioned that if you add system G to a car which has run 15k on a normal fuel,it will lead to fuel pump failure and also we need to add double the quantity(system-G) for the 1st tank fill alone.
Is it true?
What do you guys recommend?
System-G or just some premium fuel?

^^ Forget system-G etc and go for premium petrol. Factory blending is always better. I would suggest Shell Super/HP Power/BP Speed, in that order. The last two should be from very reliable pumps.

Never use system G and premium petrol.

You will find definite improvement for fiat 1.6 engines with normal petrol + system G. Trust me.

Why is factory blending better & why not to add System G + Premium Petrol?

Do not increase the strength from the recommended ratio i.e. 1ml/ltr. If you are using it for the first time, use for 3-4 tankfull continuously for results.

re: The fuel additives thread

Can I use System-D for my Palio MJD?

I use normal Diesel since FIAT does not recommend Diesel with any additives.

So is it safe to use for the MJD?

Not sure about the Palio, but the Manza manual clearly states that System D should'nt be used for Quadrajet.

I have been using System G on my 2002 Palio for a while now. Makes a big difference. No fuel pump failure worries. It definitely drives smoother. (Could be placebo effect but I doubt it )

Have read that lot of PUGgers have been using it. So I thought that might as well try it out!

re: The fuel additives thread

Just for trial basis, I did not use the System G for my Fiesta for one month refuel and the verdict is lesser mileage. Not much maybe 15-20 kms per month running. The engine responds with same gusto with a slight drop in mileage. Hell what did I save Rs 250/-for the bottle of G.
Am I going to start reusing the bottle - you bet.

I believe blending at the refinery level will be thorough and adding a few drops in the tank while filling petrol may not be.

Since the additive in the premium fuel will be more or less similar to sys-g, adding it again will be an overkill.
