Re: Maruti Genuine Parts (MGP) Catalog: Post your queries here (model list on Pg 1)

Hi,
I was trying to purchase an oil filter for Ignis 2018 with a K12B engine from boodmo. There are filters from a lot of manufactures available there. Namely, Purolator, Mahle, Hella, ZIP, Bosch. Which one should I ideally go for?
Filters in boodmo

Also, why are there some filters without the outer casing?

Will I get just the container for the new 2019 Petrol Swift. Currently this is how it looks The part is not available at the service centre where I just dropped the car. Have covered the lower torn bits with duct tape. I hope I don't have to change the motor assembly as well just to get the plastic container bit.

I am a bit late in replying to your query.

If you are confused regarding the selection of filter, just order the part online on Maruti Genuine Parts website and you can collect it from a Maruti Genuine Parts distributor in your city.

Re: Maruti Genuine Parts (MGP) Catalog: Post your queries here (model list on Pg 1)

Leoshashi need your help.

Model Name- Swift (2006 make)
Variant- VXi
Parts Required- A/C compressor & Evaporator

My car's AC is now not working properly and may need to replace the compressor. When I enquired with a MGA spares store, they told me that there is a compressor for Type 1 Swift and the cost is ~Rs. 55k and then there is a compressor for Type 2 which he said costs ~14k. Not sure why there is a huge difference in the prices and if they are compatible with each other.

Hi Shashi,

Had gone to get one of the squeaky belts repaired and noticed oil leaking near the oil filter.
The mechanic said that the switch needs to be replaced, any idea about the part no. ?

I had replaced the front lower arms last year from a FNG. This was SGP part sourced from Essar Automotive and had cost me 9312/- each. I don't have the part number for this though.

Stick to MGP, Part Number 16510M68K00

Lower Struts:

OE Part numbers: 41802-60GA0 and 41801-60GA0, costs Rs. 8510 each
Alternative: TRW Left and TRW Right

TRW is a reputed aftermarket brand and I'll highly recommend it.

Lower Arm: 45201-63G01 and 45202-63G01, costs Rs. 11,300 each.

Driveshafts: 44101M60G00 and 44102M60G00, Rs. 6008 each.

Tank: 38450M56R40, costs Rs. 195
Cap: 38452M56R30, costs Rs. 9

Yes there is a compressor worth 50k plus! I'll recommend contacting some subros dealer from here. One of my trusted suppliers for Subros are:

United Sales Agency, Kolkata: 98318 18809, replies nicely over whatsapp
Anand Motors, Jaipur: 94145 34777, replies better over call.

You will save significantly over what MGP will give you. For example, check out the approximate prices on Anand Motor's webpage: Link . Do call the numbers given and deal directly over phone or whatsapp for best prices.

I believe this should fit: 990J0M82PS0-010, Rs. 625

You should change 09246M16016(filler) and 09246M16017(drain).

I wouldn't recommend 80W90 for Baleno. Try sourcing 75W90/75w80 GL4 or stick to the lifetime fluid Maruti recommends. Link

With 80w90, you may feel the shifts to be hard when car is cold.
