Working of CNG / LPG kits

My query is whether a CNG kit fitted vehicle will run on LPG fuel?

The opposite cannot happen as I heard that it is needed to make changes in the engine some modifications for running on CNG fuel.

Hi all,
can someone suggest on if a CNG kit can be used with LPG???
Capacity of CNG cylinders is limited to 10-12 Kgs so for city driving
its OK but if you are going on a long trip you are hit by CNG
unavailability. Was just thinking if filling the CNG cylinder with LPG will
work??Hoping the cylinder would accomodate more of LPG due to
comparative lower liquification pressure.
Any techies??

I am not sure about the technical background of this.
But i feel that problem might come with the tank. Because CNG is filled as gas and LPG is filled as liquid and always 10 to 15% of LPG will be present in side the tank because of low pressure .

so once u swith over from lpg to cng again, the tank will have residual LPG in it . Not sure what will happen if you fill CNG in a tank which has LPG already in it.
