Re: How many KMs before clutch overhaul

Our Swift Diesel is on stock clutch, odo is now at 1L. Impressive considering the number of launches I did and all the traffic car sees regularly. It's on second set of brake pads and third set of tyres.

Re: How many KMs before clutch overhaul

My Swift diesel 2015 is running on stock clutch at 1.3 lakh kms. The highway running is almost 60% shuttling between Hyderabad-Bhimavaram-Vizag and remaining run on city traffic in Hyderabad. I’m still able to extract a mileage of 20-22 kmpl on highways and around 14-16 kmpl in city with ac running all the times.

Re: How many KMs before clutch overhaul

Our 2019 model Baleno's clutch is being replaced today after developing shifting problems off late. The car has clocked 67k kms so far. Attaching the picture of the worned out clutch disc. Flywheel is in good condition so no need for replacement as told by the mechanics. Qouted 6800 plus taxes for the replacement by ASS

Re: How many KMs before clutch overhaul

My 2014 Honda City iDTEC's first set of clutch had lasted at 72k Kms and now running on second set, which I got it overhauled in 2019 and run 85k Kms till date and running smooth as new as I got the clutch bleeding done during 145k Kms service at Honda ASC in Dec 22.

Full clutch overhaul for City iDTEC had costed me around ₹12k in 2019.

From which service center have you done the clutch change?

Nearing 44,000 kms without any issues, almost twice the lifespan of the original clutch assembly which leads me to conclude that a misadjusted clutch was a significant contributor to the premature clutch wear apart from the driver slipping the clutch to build speed as pointed out by Indian2003.
The driving style hasn't changed so it leads me to conclude that the misadjusted clutch was the culprit and not the quality of parts.

Sorry to bump after years but I had to update and Thank You again for your patient replies and explainers which made things clear for me.
As mentioned above, I can say that the quality hasn't come down although I can say that whatever the clutch is, I won't ever see those numbers as neither I am that good a driver nor is the traffic getting any better

Sorry to bump after years but I had to Thank You again and reaffirm that your diagnosis and conclusion were correct.
I had taken the car to a MASS(Maruti Automobiles, Ranchi) for later services (due to issues with the dealer's workshop(Premsons Motors, Ranchi) and an experienced technician(Mr. Yadav) post a test drive said that the clutch was misadjusted. He parked the car and adjusted it then and there, the clutch felt smoother to engage and took 2-3 days to get used to the new settings. I told him that the clutch was changed ~10,000 kms ago and he said that this set won't last as long as it should but it will still last quite some time. It has been almost twice the distance since the last change and 20,000 kms since I had this conversation.
