You are correct. My bad there:).
just looking at the coolant temperature gives you a lot of confidence about the health. The indicator lights switch on at 122 deg which as per me is too late to react. The fumes coming out of bonnet would already have told you the issue. so purpose defeated i suppose. I would love to get the temperature reading to glance through once in a while while driving long distances.

Read on one of the Russian forums that with v15.7, someone was able to get mirrors' auto folding on the Jetta and Tiguan which otherwise would require some EEPROM tinkering. Source |

31347 works on the new Octavia CECM which is based on the MQB platform. But it is not easy to get the security access to the earlier one. Russian forum guys and the maker of cable, Ross tech guys themselves couldn't help with security access code to the earlier CECM. But I think that is because it does not really give you what you want. If that access solved a lot of problems with low level adjustments in the system, it must have been cracked already and available accross the online forums. Like MQB based CECM gives you a lot of options to play with. The earlier CECM is not based on such an architecture. It gives you much lesser control of its functions as compared to the MQB based one. Even the guys sounded like, why is that security access required, like, what good could it be of. I myself would like to get access and see what's behind it but it seems like there isn't much in there like we think.
31347 (MQB based CECM securtiy access code) is available everywhere despite of it being the latest. That is simply because, it lets you do so much. I think the earlier ones don't. And may be no one really cared to share that code even if they found out because it could be useless. I guess. |
I was trying to do the following! Looks like I am desperate!! :D

But do you have the same door controller in your car as indicated in that link? I had mentioned this some time back in the same thread:

That one shown in the screenshot is MQB platform. That one is based on a whole new architecture. Completely different from the earlier version of control modules. Other makers like BMW had it earlier, I mean the MQB based control modules. VW introduced it later and in India, Octavia III came with it first (among VW & Skoda cars) IINM. MQB based control modules give you a deeper level of access and control over the induvidual component specific settings. Though the earlier CECMs do give you many options, it is nothing compared to what these new ones can do.

Logically, the door controller I have, does the same function - That is, it folds / unfolds by using the switch / knob. What I felt is, since the hardware and control for motorized mirror is in place, we just need to tell the ECU / BCM to do the rest.
Please correct me if I am wrong.
Guys, No mention about the front and front passenger side airbag, Is this how it is supposed to be? Can see information only about 4 airbags (2014 model had only 6)

Those are crash sensors, the 4 nos. shown in the scan. Airbags could be more. And, yes, this is how it is supposed to be. Even in Yeti which comes with many more airbags, it is the same no. of crash sensors shown in the scan.

Service center says nothing cameup in car scanning, But this fault code is permanently shown, Just want to be 100% sure there is nothing wrong with the car before i install the self parking, Since after that i doubt VW will honour me with any warranty.

Share it here Tanveer. You'll help a lot of them, members and non-members alike. Some folks simply Google up 'the error code + the car' to find a solution for resolving the errors.
Was this a change in the long coding that resolved it?

Oh yes, Totally forgot about the non-members, Thanks!
So finally after weeks and weeks of trouble of the following fault code, Its gone and forever! So anyone facing the following fault code (Even if you clear it, It will reappear)
1 Fault Found:
01309 - Power Steering Control Module (J500)
008 - Implausible Signal
This fault code actually comes in the ABS control module, But if you have Activated the Driver Steering Recommendation (DSR) In the ABS control module, You need to make sure, The correct ESP is selected in the Steering assist module.
Mine is ESP MK60EC1 (You can check yours in the ABS control module)
Mine was set to 0, But it had to be "2".
That's all, One thing which i don't really get it is, How does my service centre screwup something in the VCD's everytime and send it back. To top it all, They always say, Car scanning was done, No fault code was found. :Frustrati
Hi Tanveer,
Your ABS module was coded wrong. Now that it is corrected, try activating indirect TPMS. It should work.
All the best! :)

Hello !
Yes, That is why it wasn't getting activated, Maybe.
I am about to change the rear abs sensors in a couple of days, Will activate the TPMS then, Also ordered the TPMS reset button, Hardly costed 1k.
The pin for the reset button would go in following pin of the ABS control module.
Decided to get it since if suppose i am on a long trip and the TPMS light turns on, It will irritate me through out the journey till its ON stupid:

Update on the Auto fold mirrors, The same way gannu had mentioned a couple of pages back, Through the same way, Another guy was able to activate the autofold mirrors for his passat, Here is the link,
http://forums.vwvortex.com/showthrea...oding-feature)
I am using a 12.12.3 version and just tried if it was possible somehow, And i could successfully reach till the last step! Entering 95 or 99 did not work, I was getting an error saying, "hexadecimal has to be used" Something like that, My best guess for that error might be something to do with the cable version, The guy above has used a 14.10.2 Version.
Ill be having access to the original ross tech cable by next week, Will try and do the same again. Fingers crossed, Hope it works!

Hi Tanveer,
I have VCDS cable version 15.7. I tried this procedure, and also various other parameter settings discussed in the thread. None worked. As the original post is meant for Passat, and does not work with the Jetta. Maybe Passat has some hardware that is required to enable this feature, which the Jetta does not have.
Note: I am assuming you are trying to do this with the Jetta. If it is the Passat, then it may work.
Also for the error about hexadecimal, can you show a screen shot of the screen where you are entering 95 or 99? In programmer's language, different software use different conventions in deciding the type of number. Some software require a "0x" prefix before a number to indicate this is hex, and some other software do not require this prefix if the field is exclusively hex.
I am sorry if this is confusing. Instead of 95 type 0x95 in the field and see if the cable accepts this.
