re: Tata Genuine Parts (TGP) launched; Campaign against counterfeit spares This is indeed a welcome step by Tata Motors. They should not restrict themselves to a particular zone but should take this initiative across India. The road they have chosen is tough and risky but in the best interest of public at large. Those people who have been arrested should be punished.
I think that other automobile manufacturers should also join hands with Tata Motors in this initiative. This will help them as well.
I do remember that a leading Indian pharmaceutical company started a campaign against spurious drugs (which is another menace in society), it started with finding out the units manufacturing spurious drugs, reported the issues to the agencies. People indulging in such manufacturing were arrested and put behind bars. Supreme court took cognisance of the same and ordered Government of India to come out with a law to deal with this menace. Parliament passed the bill and it became a law. In the process, it was seen that the entire Pharma industry joined hands with each other.
Spurious drugs do exists today but have been reduced to an extent.
Similarly, by joining hands with Tata group all leading automobile manufacturers can really bring a meaningful change. |
